What to Do....Please Help. Awakening JW for a very long time
by CovertsadJW ingood afternoon , .
i have been having doubts for many years and as most jw's i have certainly not done myself a favor by suppressing all of my critical thinking.
i am married with 3 kids and my wife and i are inactive, but my wife has made it very clear in speech and action that she wants to go to all meetings, field service, and indoctrinate our kids.

Nice-ish enough lobby. But NOBODY sitting around using it.

I'm sure the society know very well that the peak publishers is not an accurate way of measuring congregational service activity. But they have gone with it because the average publisher figures look even worse than the peak publishers figures.Of course they do. What other outfit knowingly counts people twice (or even more)?

Don't you think that some people are just better off within the org?
by paradiseseeker inthis is my first post, i will introduce myself later.
first of all, i must say that english is not my mother tongue (i'm spanish), so excuse me if i make any mistake.. do you think that some people simply can't cope with being outside the jws?
some of them are too worldlyphobic to be around non-jws, too dependent on a fixed set of rules in order to carry on with their lives, too dependent on the hope of paradise and resurrection, too unable to leave their personal comfort zone within the organization.

berrygerry just curious can you give your top 3 best rated high control groups? (boy does that sound weird)
I have no idea.
But with Mormons, if you leave, you still have an education and career. Also, their shunning is nowhere as harsh as WT.
In the military, you get a salary with benefits and a pension.
Other than Scientology, I cannot think of a major high-control group worse than WT.

Question should be:
Does a percentage of the population need to be directed by a high-control group?
Answer: Absolutely.
Secondary question: Is Watchtower the best, or one of the best, high-control groups?
Answer: Absolutely not.
