Another piece of insulting literature, that addresses the reader as a "sheep" and even portrays them as such, quite literally.

Spiritual AMNESTY -- Return to Jehovah
by FusionTheism inbasically, from what i can tell from the new return to jehovah brochure, is that the governing body is now offering amnesty to anyone who has been gone from the congregation but now wants to return.. it claims it doesn't matter what sins you've done, or what caused you to leave, if you repent to jehovah and ask the elders to help you, and return to the meetings, you'll be warmly welcomed with no disciplinary action or judgment against you..

Okay, my first overpost on a thread.
First off,
It is my hope that some people in the Bethel Headquarters may see some of my suggestions and take them to heart.
Humour of the year award.

For God's will ... is that you ... commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols ... you do murder.
(1 Pet. 4:2, John 14:13, Rev. 2:20, James 2:11)Hey, it's in the Bible (WTS methodology.)

Hi Blackwolf:
I have experienced the weirdness of being a JW "youth" and have all too often seen the "Social stunting" that the WT world creates (and exists upon) in my own teenage children and far too many others.
Being a teen is hard enough as it is, never mind throwing the WTS absurdities into it. I'm surprised that as many teens survive as it is. (Although, no one knows what damage has actually been done.)
School is a CRITICAL component in socialization.
One of my children is graduating high school this year.
Because we allowed this child to engage in activities (sports - ooh, so evil - sarcasm alert) criticized by the Borg, in 3 years, this child changed from an introverted, unconfident teen, to a person with an optimistic future.
Although I agree with Pete's advice to see a counselor, I would expand that option to include a Social Worker, and possibly a knowledgeable physician.
These person care ABOUT YOU, AS A PERSON, not conditional care as a Borg MEMBER.
The care that I have experienced, and felt, from a multitude of "worldly" professionals towards myself and family members, always brings a tear to my eyes.
Although the Borg is right in warning teen girls about males wanting "just one thing." the same can be said about the Borg - that is, the Borg only wants one thing, your complete and exclusive devotion.
This requirement of devotion affects the decisions and actions of your parents.
Do not be afraid to talk the above professionals. THEY REALLY DO CARE.
Let them know that you do not know how to explain your feelings to parents being controlled by this group.
Transitioning from home-school to real school is beneficial and rewarding.
I would not try to explain this to your parents - certainly not before talking to a counselor.
From a Dad.

My final Dave post (not a guarantee - or, rather a WTS guarantee - IOW mind-changing allowed).
As I have been watching Dave this week, I needed to PVR Kimmel (who I prefer over CBS Dave).
Late-nighters will be aware of Kimmel's obsession, and inspiration from, Dave.
As Wednesday was Dave's last show, on Tuesday Kimmel showed photos from his teenage man-crush on Dave, and told his audience that his Wednesday show would be a rerun, and that the audience should watch Dave instead.
Also, a tribute from Cleto to Paul Schaeffer.
Respect!
From/to Kimmel, Cleto, and props to ABC for allowing same (old NBC adamantly refused NBC clips to CBS Dave).
BG out.

A funny moment... lol
by hardtobeme inwhen the rnwt was released, we were invited to go to the local assembly hall.. there was a sister right next to me and she started bragging that it was her 8th year in an annual meeting.
(typical thing, all spiritual).
when was time to sing, i listened to her beautiful voice.

I sit in the back row, then block my cell phone number, and subtly dial numbers of people in the hall! (I have pretty well everyone's number from when I was a popular and exemplary appointed man....)
Its really funny to hear phones ring out loud, then people dive into their bags to switch them off....then the flow on effect of seeing everyone else check their phones...
Ah, I know its childish...but it gives me a laugh.....
Love it.

The JW religion has just cost me my marriage & my family life
by jambon1 inafter leaving the organisation 10 years ago i fought with everything i had to stay in my marriage and with my three children.
after a tumultuous number of years trying to maintain a happy family life while living in a divided home, it's finally over.
the religion is single handedly responsible for destroying my marriage and my family.

There is no greater pain than what WTS does to families.
Some would say that the death of a child is greater.
Without diminishing such a tragic thing, and thankfully not having experienced such a tragedy, I stand by this statement for the following.
Making a life-long commitment to a person, and then embracing the formidable challenge of caring for a little life, changes every fibre of an individual, and of a couple.
On an organizational, and on a local, level, there are MEN, often childless, some unmarried, who feel that THEY have the power to speak for The Creator of the Universe, and that said Creator has told your spouse that he/she should separate as you are a "spiritual" threat to him/her and to further isolate your children for the same reason.
6 “I myself have said, ‘YOU are gods,
And all of YOU are sons of the Most High.
7 Surely YOU will die just as men do;
And like any one of the princes YOU will fall!’” -

A big hello and thank you
by iwasblind ini just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to all of my mentally diseased friends.. i say friends because i have been lurking for some time so it feels like home (us lurkers are a bit scared and cautious so it takes a while).
i won't bore you with too many details, but i am a born in, currently serving as the cobe of a congregation.
my wife and i have pioneered for the last 10 years and were shaken awake by that ridiculous 15th july 2013 wt about the generation and 1914.. my wife who is much smarter than me has questioned for years.

You are in an enviable, and yet, incredibly, challenging situation.
Your luck in having your spouse at your side in this journey cannot be under-emphasized.
How to exit - gracefully, subtly, notably - it is a challenge with no perfect answer.
As I presently have the movie Alien running in the background, I am at the scene where Ripley has found Newt, and the queen is laying eggs.
Ripley hesitates, and then decides to toast those eggs.
Why?
One would presume to prevent other aliens from capturing and enslaving her fellows as Alien-progenerants.
Alien Lett (on behalf of "our mother") - "Baptize your pre-teens to us."
I want Ripley on my children's' side - "Get away from [them], you bitch."
Find a way, if you can, to save others.
Do they not deserve salvation?
