  on the train yesterday on the way home from work, i saw someone sitting in front of me reading a km.

  apparently a sister studying for the service mtng.

  the funny thing was that i noticed that she was underlining every word in the article she was studying.

  I would "fake it" when it came to studying for the WT lesson. I would make a little game out of it. I would look at the first word in the question and go thru the whole paragragh looking for that word. When I found it, I would underline from the beginning of the sentance to the comma, or the comma to the end of the sentance. Then I would look at the next word in the question and search thru the rest of the paragragh. I would do this until I got to the end of the paragragh or the end of the question.

  It looked like a was such a good girl and studied my whole lesson. In reality, I didn't have a CLUE what the lesson was about because I didn't even read it!

  When someone looked over my shoulder they would think that I was SO dedicated and spiritual... (batting eyes and smiling like a little princess)

  How did you brutally destroy your WT publications?

  the only wt publication i brutally destroyed was a brand new copy of the revalation book.

  i was so frustrated with the religion that i ripped the goddam thing into a hundred pieces.

  it was a great way to take my anger out on it.. years later when i was dating this one girl, she had a copy of that same stupid book.

  International assemblies - $$$$ aspect

  my mother is 61 yoa and has always lived on the brink of poverty.

  a little over a year ago she said that there had been an annoucement of an "international assembly" in australia.

  she applied.

  So the elder's decide if you are "spiritual" enough to go? The problem with this is they judge that on how many hours you put in field service. Everyone knows the more time you spend in field service, the less money you bring into the household. How can anyone that is spiritual enough afford to go?!

  Nailed them to a tree (stake?) and blew them apart with multiple devices......Colt 45 with black talon shells, bushmaster AR-15, and then for the symbolic touch.....357mag with SILVER tip hollow points.

  I like that one... I REALLY like that one.

  I think I'll start collecting them again just so I can do that!

  and most importantly, as we all know that this education in the life saving work is second to none, have you placed this grand accomplishment on your resume?

  Big Tex... You think YOUR embarrassed? I'm a terrible note taker and I HATED to study, so most of mine is just scriptures copied into my book. I figured if someone looked over my shoulder, they would think that I really studied. Of course, that young do-gooder sister that I was rooming with knew the truth. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have studied at all.

  My MOST embarrassing moment... when I had to actually talk at a door with the DO supervizing me. I was so nervous and wanted to do something GREAT that I took the King James Version out of my bag for the householder and asked her if she would like to follow along (to compare translations). When we got back to the Hall, I had to sit thru him telling EVERYONE that we have "THE BEST" translation and we do not need to try to prove it to the householder (unless they bring it up).

  I sold the ones that would bring any amount of money on ebay... then I LIT THE REST OF THEM UP in the BBQ pit on Christmas eve.

  I saved the "Youth" book for last. It caused me the most grief and depression during the time in was "in". My 2 year old kept trying to throw it in. I kept saying, "No baby. That one's ALL MINE!"

  Big Tex... I've seen them go off between $98 and $125. I listed mine at $99.99 --- buy it now for $125. It sold in less than 3 hours. And yes, it had TONS of notes in it. Everyone's does. I took a picture of the front cover and a picture of the pages with the most notes.
