Welcome Adam! Life can be difficult when you're first out, kinda like being released from prison after serving 20 years. There is life after the Witnesses, though, and you have the whole rest of your life ahead of you. I wish you all the luck in the world, and if your avatar is any indication, you should have no problem getting lucky!

I love to read, but I also love to write. I mostly read fantasy/Sci-Fi, but I write poetry. I also just wrote a childrens book, and have to finish the illustrations before I try to get it published. What I appreciate most in my life are my friends and family, who have seen me through good and bad. Right now I live with my friend Sylvia, who I call my "Jewish Mother". She is about 20 years older than me, but she is young at heart, and she took me in when I had no where else to go. She is an extraordinary woman, full of life and faith, and she makes sure that I feel loved every day. She makes sure I eat my veggies, but also gives me a glass of wine before bed every night. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and she encourages me to write, to dream, and to be happy no matter what. I love my hobbies, but they seem so small compared to spending time with my Sylvia.

((drwatson)) Thanks, I think I missed the last Washington meet up, it would be very nice!
((Frantic)) thanks for your support, my best friends are what are keeping me sane right now!!!
((asleif)) You make an excellent point. I?m glad I tried the ?band aid? method, instead of dragging it out. It?s hard to let go, but it?s better than being miserable. Thank you.
((Guest77)) Thank you. I have a lot to learn still, but I hope this lesson, however painful, will help me grow.
((Lisa)) LOL! Thanks for the reality check, you are dead on! I was unhappy, and I need to remember that, instead of being nostalgic for the ?good times?. Thanks so much!
((Island Boy)) Thanks for your input! He?s actually a bit older than me, but that doesn?t mean anything. Who can know the minds of men?
((Babyface)) Thanks beautiful!
(((((Mouthy))))) Your post brought tears to my eyes, I haven?t suffered a tenth of what you?ve gone through. You?ve reminded me of all I have to be thankful for. Thank you.
(((Petty))) Thanks babe, do they make any good brands for washing men out of your hair? Like ?Man-away, leaves your hair shiny, and your spirits high!?
(((Eric))) What a beautiful post. That?s not stupid at all, in fact, I think I may try just that to keep myself a little more balanced. Thank you, your words have helped a lot.
((Outnfree)) Sorry to hear you?ve been having a bad time as well. At least we survivors have each other, thank you for that.
((Dave)) Seattle?s a great place to visit, much better beer than Cleveland!
(((Sis))) Aww Xan, thank you, and thanks for waking me up this morning!
(((Tatiana))) I hope you are able to get away soon!!!! I will definitely heed your advice, I don?t want to end up miserable again! Thank you hon, please take care of yourself too. When I get on my feet here, if you ever need a place, just give me a holler. So many people have helped me to get away from the situation I was in, and I?d like to do the same for someone when I am able.
((Phil)) RUUUUNNNNNNN!!!! Run for your life!! Go west young man!!!! Ohio is a soul trap!!! Come where the women are like my favorite beer, bitter and cold!!!! Just kidding! Hope all turns out well for you!

Ack! I can't stand it anymore! I've been broken up with my boyfriend for two weeks now, and this is my first x-mas alone in 3 years. My heart is hurting so bad, and even though I have wonderful friends here, I am in so much pain. He's in Ohio, and I came all the way out to Seattle to get away. Now, all I want is to be back in his arms, feel that comfort of being close to another human being, sleep next to him again, open presents with him. I can't stand it!!!! I feel like I'm going nuts. Can't live with him, can't live without him. On the phone, he sounds like the man I fell in love with, not the man he became when we moved to Ohio. How the hell do you get over someone you love so much???? I thought it was hard just leaving him, but now it just seems to get harder every day. I don't want things to be the way they were, I was unhappy in Ohio, but I remember all the good years, and it makes it very hard to be alone. Sorry for blabbing on, just need to cry on your collective shoulder.

Single now, but not looking for a relationship. Maybe just someone to go out for drinks with here in Seattle. I smoke, drink, cuss, am now 20 pounds overweight, and totally bitter. So, who wants to go tear up the town with me?
