by Trapped in JW land ini really can't wrap my head around how people can still consider god loving with such atrocious biblical accounts such as, 1 samuel 15, (god ordering the slaughter of amelikite baby's and children) 2nd kings 2, forgot the verses (god sending bears to maul 42 children) and many others.have you ever asked a witness or anyone elsewhat they think about these accounts?
what was their response?
i'd love to ask one, but unfortunately i'm still physically in the cult and i wouldn't want to raise any suspicions.

Actually it does matter. Knowing the name of 'God' is YHWH means we can search for him in arceology and find out for instance:
He was a regional God
He was Married to Asherah (Sacred Pole)
He replaced El... the previous Canaanite/Israelite head God
He came from the Shashu tribe south of Edom in Midian area.
Knowing that 'God' has a name it the first step to proving he doesn't exist

Ask him how come you can get a King James Bible and open it to Isaiah and read the same passage in 2 Nephi WORD PER WORD 100%.

Daniel was the work of cowards in the 160s BCE.
Chapter one talks of food issues. Compare to 2 Macc 6
Chapter 2 is where the Aramaic starts and matches chapter 7, 8. however you list matches the WT list and is wrong.
There is NO HISTORIAN that will claim Daniel was talking about anything beyond 165BCE The 'Kingdoms divided' were the Seludicds and the Ptolomys.
Chapter 3 speaks of Idolary and should be compared to 2 Maccabees 7
Futher chapter 4 might indeed speak of a legend from ancient Babylon however it is greatly disorted and propaganda toward Antoichus.
chapter 5 has 4 major historical inaccuracies.
Chapter 6 is comcerning prayer and is related to the final chapter os 2 Macabees
Chapter 9 is messinic and for the point of this review lets just say there is no way the book of Jeremiah would be considered canon had Daniel lived then! (Back to Hebrew)
10,11,12 are a interesting history that is maybe 70% accurate up until chapter 11 vs 33 and 34. These verses are the KEY TO UNLOCKING THE BOOK! 33 tells us whoever wrote this were Rabbis. vs 34 referances the Macabees with a passing glance indicating the time of date. It also show the writers as cowards.
After that this 'history' falls apart and becomes a battle God ends. Daniel in chapter 12 it told to 'seal up the book for the time of the end'. Yeah ...lol... right... This book was amazingly 'found' in the second centery BCE LOL.... The end never came and the 'little help' rules for 100 years.

Help With Legal Project - Children in Judicial Meetings
by berrygerry inan acquaintance in canada is making a serious attempt at ending children being forced, or coerced, to attend a judicial meeting.. are there any here who had to attend such a meeting, and would be willing to contribute their feelings?.
