Flat Earth and Jw. Not possible?

sorry for my poor english, i hope to make not too many mistakes.

im a jw and in the last three years i have studied a lot the topic of the earth being flat.

i have a good scientific background so im not stupid or crazy.

Okay I'll try an hit on three solid proofs that seem to have been covered but not pushed too hard:

1. You say you have studied astronomy. Ok then explain this>>>

How come every other planet in this solar system is spherical??? Nevermind the 3000-4000 extra-solar planets found daily.

The only exceptions you can make are planetoids and moons but even they are not flat. Maybe oval or odd-shaped but not flat. You say you know physics. Well all the objects I mentioned spin. If you actually use your mind and imagine a hot mass spinning at the beginning of the solar system it would only end up as spherical after a few hundred million years (Not counting the previously mentioned smaller oblong objects)

Edit- I forgot stars, quasars and black holes which are spherical The only objects that are 'flat are spiral galaxies and if you studied cosmology you would have learned of dark matter and why they are 'flat-shaped')

okay 2.

You say you know physics then how does this so-called flat planet have gravity??? I need to get you to read pricipa mathmatica in English by Newton to see that flat-earth gravity is impossible.

3. So you think all NASA images are faked?? ok What about Russian images from before? Oh yeah did you forget alot of the people going in space now are not Americans? Why lie that the earth is flat? What is the point?

At what point would you lose your consciousness and reality?? (really being explored on TV shows now)

many recent shows and movies are showing and exploring people having their consciousness absorbed into digital form or transplanted to younger clone bodies to extend life.

parts of our brain can be cut or damaged, but we are still us.

our bodies can be replaced with artificial limbs but we are still us.

Actually, no one seems to have mentioned the lastest updates to the WT was that beards are acceptable for elders... if you read the paragraph... therefore you can show this article from 2016 I think to elders and if they disagree accuse them of apostasy!

i read parts of them and found them quite entertainng like a fantasy novel.

I read parts of them and found them quite entertainng like a fantasy novel. The writing was good. Poroblem is I forgot the author etc. Anyone remember this series? I haven't found it through search here.

Atheists - How Did You Become An Atheist After Waking Up?

i consider myself an atheist.

and right now i'm reading a lot on atheism in general (books written to answer creationists).. i'd be interested in knowing how you became an atheist after leaving the jws and how long did it take?

was it instant or did your belief in a deity gradually decline?.

I became an atheist in about a day. My whole foundation of belief was:

1. Evolution is false so god is real.

2. The bible is true so Christianity is true

3. JW have the true Christianity.

So when evidence came to me disturbing #2 I was purplexed for awhile trying to firgue out how to deal with it but decided to go to the basicsstep 1 I went on the internet and looked for 100% proof of evoloution. I decided if I couldn't find 100% proof or if their were holes in the logic I would close my mind to what i had discovered.

After ERVs and Chromosome 2 were discovered on the internet that evening and tracing all the evidence for them I rejected God and the bible that night. No question.

I liked two.

The old Nazirite song (128) I think as a teen my and another teen JW kid used to sing Nazi reich of can we be like them can we act like then today lol Just being dub teens But today I think of this somg and sing the orginal lyrics while remember the deeds of the Nazirites... like ripping lions apart and hacking Agag to pieces etc. The song makes more sense that way.

I did like the Loyal Love song.

"Hey their all you thirsty ones come and a have a beer with me. Let's come drink you theirsty ones...down at the bar for free." <<< (Not my lyrics an elder told me this one lol)

Are there close parallels between Deuteronomy 32:8, Genesis 10 and the Ugaritic tablets?

according to these sources (city of ancient ugaritic tablets found in 1928) , elyon divided up all the nations into seventy nations, one for each of his sons (elim) .

sons of god makes the most sense than the sons of israel-deut.

32:8 especially since there was no nation of israel listed in the table of nations.

The text at Duet 32 says when the MOST HIGH El Elyon separated the people of the earth he set their boundaries according to the number of the Israelites... for YHWH's prtion is his people... I'm paraphrasing but note that El is the top dog... YHWH is the god of Israel and you could apply this to any nation in the area ... say Moab>>>

This is a fairly early text (likely exilic) that portrays El as top god and YHWH as on of his 70 sons.

As for the Genesis 10 reference this is a table of nations and the story is similar to what you have seen only YHWH is doing the dividing.This text is quite a bit later noting the Grecian names contained.

Will Artificial Intellegence Make The Human Race Extinct?

i think it is inevitable.

i don't worry about it but it just seems that the human race is going down a road that they can't make a turn off.. they are probing/discovering how the human mind works and produces intelligence down to the individual molecule.

now with the invention of the super quantum computer soon we will be able to build even better artificial intelligence greater than our own, so it will be easily able to out smart us because will we be a bunch of dumb apes first discovering how to make fire in it's eyes.. it will have it's own different agendas than us humans.
