by John Aquila inso i ran into this brother whom ive known for a while and the conversation led into me being invited to come back to the kingdom hall.
we talked for about an hour during which time i explained to him 607 being the wrong date and a lot of other stuff including the child abuse cases in australia.
but what i wanted to relate was the last few minutes of our conversation.

it's as if an alcoholic says, i know all the dangers of drinking. but i enjoy it and if i want to die from drinking that is my choice.
but in reality they are selfish in the fact that just like an alcoholic, if they drink and drive they put other peoples lives at stake.
and if the JW keepS preaching lies, they put other peoples lives at stake and there family lives at stake.
this cult of a religion has done so much damage to my family life....it is poison just like alcohol!!!!!!!!!!

Discussing the RC with a friend and my JW wife was listening.
by Driving Force ini am fuming at the moment and my wife has made me so angry.. i live in germany and an ex jw, a friend of mine is also ex jw but does not understand english so i was giving him a rundown on the friday session of the rc with gj.
my wife was in another part of the house but heard my phone ring and so she came to listen, i did not realize this, because when the phone rang i closed two doors between myself and my wife.
she opened the first door and started listening to the conversation.

i know where you are coming from. We just finished a 3 week long arguement. Mostly with silence in between fights.
she knows how i feel about the cult. i have told her i don't care what she believes and i won't stop her from going out in service and to the meetings. i go with her to the meetings just to keep the calm....i really have become apathetic and don't care much about religion. this cult has ruined any spirituality i have.
Our son's hate going to the meetings and go out in service because she make them....i have pointed out so many facts about the cult to her. but she goes into cult mode. so F%ck it...i just don't bring anything up any more and work on keeping her authentic self with me. the sex is great...LOL

I wish i was in your situation....just looking in my rearview mirror and leaving the past behind us has we ride on to brighter horizons.
No such luck for me....my wife lacks the ability to reason or think for herself....she put the GB with God and Jesus themselves. kinda like live gods on earth.
she physically covers her ears like a 2 year old when she hears negative comments about the BORG. and the more i pull away the entrenched she becomes.
SHE IS CHOOSING THIS CULT OVER HER MARRIAGE AND FAMILY.
My Marriage is and has been crumbling before my eyes and there is not a damn thing i could do to stop it. It is painful to watch. i hate what this cult has done to my families life.....i wish the BORG would implode.
