Thanks all, i need to read more Hassan books. i am both comforted and agonized by the fact that so many have there significant other in the same situation has i am. I wish for all us.....that we along with our significant others break away clean, wake up together and leave the stupid cult behind us.

she is a smart woman in other things....but this. not so much.

it seems like some of the items i listed has action were dropped.
1. she calls the borg her faith
2. she believes everything they say and has no reason to question them
3. she believes the shuning is ok
4. she considers the elders her spirtual head and not me.
things she does that counter her actions.
1. very rarely goes in field circus
2. always late for meetings.
3. talks to DA'd sister
4. son's are not allowed to hang with associate with witnesses....only non witness kids will do
5. believe in higher education.

i need some help if possible. i find it hard sometimes to get a good idea has to how to communicate with my wife when it come to this stupid cult.. she is born in and stopped attending for many years and got baptized later in life.
I truely believe she suffers from cognitive dissonance and other things this stupid cult causes.
here is a breakdown of what i gather to be where she is mentally.
* she calls the BORG her faith
here are actions that she does that go against her thoughts:
* she doesn't go out in field circus and when she does it's for 30 mins at a time. I don't go and i don't report time and am not sure if she does.
sometimes I am at my wits end....her actions show she doesn't want to be in the BORG. but, the guilt inside probably eats her up.
I truely believe she lacks the mental capacity to understand and research what she believes. and i know for a fact she has no idea of she has ever been taught and how the changes that have been made counter she has been taught.
I feel she is has low inteligence when i comes to understanding this cult and is just burying her head in the sand.
i really don't know how to deal with her on this level. i just try and ignore it because of lack of mental intellect for the BORG.
Any suggestions on how to proceed would be good.
I am sure i have forgot to put down things she does and doesn't do. so questions would be good.

17 year old son is blaming me for ruining his life from the Cult. He's complaining "I could have been a high school sports star!"

she still attends while my 17 year old has been raging on me about all the wasted time he suffered from by being in this religion.
he think's his life is ruined, very angry we did not learn this was a cult earlier(he was 14 when he stopped attending after reading the revelation book, he said "in all time and history, how could a trumpet blown in revelation have anything to do with a jw bible student convention statement"?.

17 yrs old is not to old to start sports, there are plenty of competive leagues out there. A star athlete is not determined by age.....if you have, you have at any age.

after a tumultuous number of years trying to maintain a happy family life while living in a divided home, it's finally over.
the religion is single handedly responsible for destroying my marriage and my family.

I am so sorry to hear this....my wife is also very blind. I don't even bring anything BORG up. I truely hate this cult and what it does to people.
My kids hate it and so do I....i feel if i push the enevelope it will cause us to break up or maybe not. I am not willing to go there.
we have been going to less and less meetings...YAHOO!!!!. she doesn't say much about it and we don't go out on field circus. very rarely. she is a stay at home mom and if she really wanted to she could go out everyday. it seems like she makes up excuses not to and i don't question her about it. just leave it alone.
i just wish it would go away.....good luck to you and take it one day at a time.
