i have an online ex jw friend who pointed out to me that she stumbled upon a may 15, 1999 watchtower that had pictures of governing body members autographing bibles for people.

i have no bound volumes or cd rom copies anymore so i can verify.

two things came to mind, if this is true:.

I've seen people create arguments by stretching a point to the ridiculous and the idea of idolatry is highly subjective and can be debated to the grave, just one question: If a celebrity signs something it increases the value of the item, so, might we expect to see some items "signed" by GB showing up on eBay? If so, wouldn't it then be safe to say that these items were "autographed"?

Just A Thought Regarding The Bunker Video

as ridiculous as the bunker video was, a few things popped into my consciousness as i was riding the train today.

firstly, why did they go to all the expense and effort to not only create a bunker, but to furnish it like a living room complete with coffee table, armchair, shelves etc?

i mean, a bunker should be a bunker... boxes of tinned food, tools, medical supplies, emergency gear etc.

Re: OP's question, what popped up for me is that they are hinting that they will reinstate the Book Studies during the Great Trib!! Humour aside, word was over the years that the Book Studies were going to be the organizational centers, that's exactly what it looks like here :0)

In "fulfilment of Bible Prophecy" attack of "God's People" will take place when Babylon the Great is destroyed (Ezekiel) So, is that what is being depicted? If so, what's all the racket out there, jws aren't known for making a fuss when being rounded up? Or, could it be, that THESE GUYS ARE COMPLETELY OUT TO LUNCH?

Here's a question for another time: If. explained by the GB the Scriptural necessity of drinking the koolaid, how many would do so?
