  Knock knock."Who's there? Two elders!!

  so today was a cold and snowy day in my neck of the woods and the wife and i were just chilling around the house waiting to go to the church tonight for a candle lighting service when lo and behold we get a knock on the door.

  yup, 2 elders from my old hall.

  i figured they were fishing for some time so i invited them in and gave them some coffee and we talked about everything that happened and why we walk away from the jw's.

  Elder wants to stop by with the CO for a visit .

  so i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.

  he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".

  he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.

  The worst is the meeting (which was actually an investigation) will

  generate an orol report and discussion at the next meeting of the Body of

  elders,

  This could lead to a JC meeting where he is burned at the stake for his

  beliefs,

  By being DFed,

  That would be the worst,

  dear friends,.

  once again my depression has got the better of me and i must bow out for a time.. "the angels sang glory to god in the highest and on earth peace unto men of goodwill'.

  so if that means at this special time of the year then have a happy and safe christmas time all of you.. hugs.

  On this site, there's a recurring recommended line to use to the effect of

  "I'm going through some serious personal problem and I can't talk (on the phone, hang up here), never explain or be "sorry" for anything because they will take control of the conversation and you,

  You will be harassed,

  If you can, do as I did, move away as far as possible the quicker the better,

  If they ever come by here I will immediately threaten them with police to

  remove them and a restraining order to keep them away,

  They seem very nice,

  They are not,

  They are religious fanatics

  "I'm firm in my beliefs": Hypocrisy and Delusion

  i have a friend who said he'll have to stop listening to me after i told him about yahweh's origins in canaanite religion, because he's firm in his beliefs.. i have a mother who said she goes to the meetings even if it's wrong, and i should too.

  she is also firm in her beliefs.. i have talked to an elder about evolution, and as i made the case for it and against creationism, he said that at some point i have to decide that there is a creator.

  he too is firm in his beliefs.. all of these people will also talk about going out in service.

  Religion is blind belief,

  You know what it was like in field service,

  Did you ever make a point with a Moslem?

  How about a Trinitarian?

  People will defend their belief system BEYOND ALL REASON,

  How come you and I are out?

  We're different,

  We're rational,

  We're REASONABLE

  These guys are deceptive as sin,

  My wife told them I wasn't coming anymore and made one of those appointments,

  I figured I'm going to show up and let them in, without saying anything,

  I did,

  To get it over with,

  Not on your life,

  Two others said they wanted to speak to me,

  I said ok but one at a time,

  What do you think they said?

  I was in this cult over 50 years,

  2 together is a trap,

  I had to leave town because of the hounding,

  Listen to Wing Commander,

  They're diabolical,
