Why indeed.

I'm not looking to start a new life in JW land at all,

there are just a few people that I would like to speak to.

I, along with others am very hurt that "friends" could be so conditional. So logically, even if I could suddenly talk to those, I would never trust or view in the same way again.

Very simply, I was a child that had just been through multiple traumas (11 & 13) and diagnosed with severe mental health conditions following them, a year later I was allowed to make the decision to get baptised. Less than a year later I sinned. I fornicated which was a symptom of one of the mental health condintions (BPD). I was then disfellowshipped losing any support of any friends and family, 15 years old and with a baby.

it was a long time coming for me.....when i read about the extened generations, after being raised on1914 being the be all end all, and millions would never die....that was the end.

i was part of the 1975 fiasco, the 6 month only truth book studies, suffered through a disifellowshipping and their version of a rewind.

i finally am free and hope others can eventually look in instead of inside looking out!

I think this is where I am different to most people here.

When I was disfellowshipped, I still believed fully. My sin was caused by a mental health condition.

It took many years after being df to start thinking about the actual facts.

This sums it up well:

You have to love the way the WTS twists Scripture (being "untaught and unsteady" as the Apostle Peter wrote) for its own ends. Where in the parable of the Prodigal Son did Jesus state that it was only after ten years that complete and unconditional forgiveness was extended to him by his Father? It doesn't state that anywhere! Nevertheless, the WTS decided to add its own protocol to the Bible to justify its own harsh and unloving ways. ~ Quendi

I have to wait 24 hours since my last created topic to create a new one, so I guess my story will be delayed.

I suppose I will be trying for a annulment of baptism then despite how often they fail.

There was a lady (jgnat I think) that said something about a 10 year threat and that someone had been disfellowshipped for over 10 years, so was free to talk to whom he wanted?

Totally surprised me to read that!

Is it true there is a 10 year rule? I was reading on here when I saw someone quote it? I've never heard of it before!
