Why is it so important to them to let child molesters go out in the field ministry?

what's up with the watchtower society still letting those they know to have sexually abused children go out in the field service despite that being crucial to the ruling against them in the conti suit?

they don't let men with beards go out in the field service in america with the justification that "beards are not the custom" and that therefore they "are not considered acceptable for christian ministers," but having sexually abused a child is somehow acceptable for a christian minister?.

last i checked molesting children isn't considered socially acceptable according to the customs of the united states and certainly finding out that child molesters are allowed to be jehovah's witness publishers is a whole lot more alienating to potential converts than them seeing jehovah's witness publishers with beards.

Paedophiles are dangerous opportunists and the protection of children must always be the top priority.

why are women in show business not screaming " l am a woman and proud of it " - well, they are.

But their idea of womanhood is different from yours and most other women's. Show business people live in a bubble and they don't represent ordinary people.

Originally, society got rid of the words heroine and actress, so that actor and hero could be used for men and women and the characters the play (fair enough).

Now, there is a drive by the film industry to focus specifically on 'female actors' (er, actresses) playing 'female heroes' (er, heroines).

It's about as crazy as wanting T'challa to be played by a white woman.

Could this guy play Rocky? - no, I don't think he could.

Rocky was written as a white man (most Italian-Americans being white). There's another scene in Rocky (1976):

Reporter to Apollo - Is it a coincidence that you're fighting a white man on our nation's birthday?

Apollo - Is it a coincidence the challenger is fighting a black man on our nation's birthday?

So, Rocky was written as a white character who is also Italian-American (most Italian-Americans are white).

And Apollo Creed was written as an African-American character who is HW champ. Creed was obviously influenced by real-life champ Muhammad Ali. In fact, if Ali had never existed, it would be difficult for me to accept Apollo Creed as a good, realistic character. Apollo Creed was basically Muhammad Ali but without the Nation of Islam bits.

i'm not an expert on charity law, but the minimum criteria required by any organisation to retain their charity and tax-free status (as defined on the uk government's own website) is most certainly not being met by the wtbts/jw's.. the pdf flowchart on this page of the web site should convince most thinking people that the wtbts is not acting for the public's best interests:.

The WTBTS/JW "charity" is a self-serving entity whose sole purpose is to perpetuate its own existence via the recruitment process of new members by existing unpaid members - yes, we see it this way. And I guess most people may agree with us.

But, to JWs the WTS is God's unique channel and perpetuating itself in order to do God's will and 'bring the good news to people'.

The hold of religion is very strong, I'm afraid.

But I think - Black, Hispanic, LGTB, people would LIKE to see characters who represent people who look are live like they do - this is a weird way of thinking, if you think about it.

What about Jewish basketball fans? Do they need 'representation' (i.e. more Jewish players on court) or are they ok with seeing mostly African-American players doing their thing?

Look, believe it or not, I've actually got no problems with a black female 007 in theory.

But, let's be honest, we've seen several movies and tv programs be remade according to trendy opinion, and we've seen these trendy opinions be elevated above decent story-telling, plots and character development.

As long as good plots, story telling, character development, etc. are put above identity politics, I'm cool.

I think it’s excellent and can’t wait to see what comes of it - but you haven't seen it because it hasn't come out yet.

It may be excellent, it may be a piece of crap.

'two camps of snowflakes' - oh yeah, great way for a film company to view large swathes of its audience. XD Telling some of your customers 'hey, you suck, you bigot, but please give us your money and watch our film'.
