Ok, I'll be honest here ... I was someone who joined the JWs, got baptised and, looking back, I was weird. XD
I think I still am XD
I'm guessing JWs don't have a monopoly on weird people, but I was definitely JW and definitely weird at some point.
is it my imagination or are most witnesses weird, odd, and “different “?
it seems every congregation has a couple of weirdo elders, pioneers and ministerial servants.
and then you see those witnesses who attend meetings but most people seldom associate with them because... they are eccentric..

seriously, it’s getting to a point that you can’t make a negative comment about someone without being charged as a racist, homophobe or sexist!
if you criticize a female, you are obviously sexist.
if you criticize someone who happens to be gay, you must hate homosexuals.
If you were saying he should 'go back to where he came from' because you think it is simply better to send all criminals back to their country of origin - the guy deliberately tried to run people over in the street.
Can I just say 'go back to where you came from'? Do I have to explain my statement?
What if someone else called me racist for telling him to go back to where he came from? They won't believe me when I tried to explain that I don't hate his skin colour, I hate his actions. What then?
... because that's the situation we find ourselves in today, in 2019. That's why Min started this OP.

This person of colour is Salih Khater.
Khater is an immigrant from Sudan who was granted asylum by the UK authorities.
He has recently been found guilty of attempted murder because he deliberately drove his car at Police and pedestrians. He's been given a custodial sentence.
Am I racist if I criticise this guy?
Am I racist if I say Khater should 'go back to where he came from'?
were you so indoctrinated that you just couldn’t leave?
was it due to family pressure?
was it your friendships that you didn’t want to lose?
Partly I was a true believer, but then it gradually changed so that the main reason was fear.
Back in the mid-90s, Armageddon was gonna happen any day, you know ...

Re change - generally speaking, if you're looking to get elected into power and implement your policies to make some kind of change, well, ok.
But if you don't like America as a Western country that has elections every four years and has the right to control its borders, well this kind of change is different.
You'd be fundamentally against the US.

I'm offering Option 4.........Strive for change - great.
In 2020 these 4 women can implement change if a Democrat candidate beats Trump.
But if Trump gets re-elected, they can't implement change for at least another 4 years.
And if Trump wins a second term, I'm sure they'll accept that they lost and he won.
Like they did last time. XD

These 4 congresswomen are NOT foreigners my friend - one of them is.
Ilhan Omar was born in Somalia. She's Somali.

I'm pretty sure Trump is a racist because His dad was one - ahhh, the sins of the father.
Trump's a racist because Trump's dad blah blah blah ...
Old Testament God would be so proud of you!

Are you saying none (or few) of those complaining about political correctness are racist? - nope. You 're the one making a claim without evidence (see below).
There is a minority of people today who are racist, is that not so? - but you call many people who complain about PC 'racist'. Sorry, you don't get to do that without providing some kind of evidence in support (opinion polls or other data).
And why are you trying to lump ordinary people together with the minority of racists?
Who have I called racist? - in your own words: The problem is many of those complaining about political correctness are in fact racist or harbor some other harmful ideology - you have no data to back this claim up. Therefore, you'd do well to retract this assertion.
Ironically, someone who is chaffing at being wrongly accused of racism has some small taste of what racism feels like - but why should those who are wrongly accused of racism suffer for what actual racists say and do?
i live in the usa.
is it perfect!
nope.
Hi jhine, I have an aunt who lives in Kidderminster. It's quite nice where she lives.
I have to travel through Staffs to visit her. I haven't visited for two years, tho, plus I'm a bit poor at the moment so I'm not sure when I'll have enough money to see her.
