  i have neither read it nor studied it.. search with: the name of god y.eh.ow.ah which is pronounced as it is written i eh ou ah its story gérard gertoux .

  There is a problem with the pronunciation of name of the God of the Israelites: the Hebrew alphabet is an abjad.

  An abjad is an alphabet that's made of consonants only. Short vowels are not written.

  So, we have 4 consonants - YHWH. We don't know what vowels were sounded between them. The Israelites living thousands of years ago had a way of pronouncing their God's name, but this has been lost over time.

  Arabic is similar to Hebrew in this respect.

  If I transliterated the 3 Arabic letters - waw, lam & dal - into English as 'wld' and left out the two short vowels ... how would you pronounce it? Because 'wld' (ولد) is a word in Arabic.

  The Exorcist (1973) is a great film. I thoroughly recommend it. I bought a second hand DVD for £1 and watched it alone, at night. It creeped me out a bit. It did what a good horror film is supposed to do.

  Smoking joints and eating black pudding (fried, with a full English breakfast) are pretty good, too. I recommend those in moderation.

  to me, breakfast can be served at any time of the day.

  a local bar in my area serves breakfast all day long.

  for 5 bucks you get 2 eggs any way you like, bacon sausage or ham with home fries and toast!!

  I love the Full English but it's not very healthy.

  Porridge is a healthier option - porridge with slices of fruit on top (NOT sugar), plus a glass of fresh orange juice.

  Or toast, I love toast. A few rounds of marmite on toast plus a nice cuppa (coffee or tea).

  i have been sad to see so many groups and individuals say that the cause of these events are the mental status of the shooters.

  i have looked over the backgrounds of these shooters, and few had medically identified mental health issues.

  it is too easy to think that people shoot or kill other people because they are mentally ill.. actually, many or most people with real mental illnesses are most likely to be the victims of others.. i have been a volunteer with the organization called nami (national alliance of mental lillness) for 25 years now.

  So how many mass stabbing killings are there? - I don't know. But what I do know is that UK has a serious problem with knife crime but banning knives for everyone would be an outrageous, moronic assault on liberty.
  

  Public safety overrules a stupid ass 200 year old law - I get what you're saying but you've not really addressed my question, which was ... why should at least some types of guns be banned for everybody, when it's only a tiny minority of gun users who go on shooting sprees? Surely there are better ways of dealing with this problem?

  Here's a point: why should any guns be banned for everyone when it's only a tiny minority who go on shooting sprees?

  Why should the responsible people who own guns legally and use them responsibly be in any way affected by the minority criminal element?

  Here in the UK we have a serious knife problem, with people getting stabbed in the street.

  But the majority of people don't get involved in this sh!t and are still allowed to buy and own knives. It would be dumb to ban knives, right?

  i was in full time service for six years including bethel.

  once i got out of bethel, i figured i had already given them six of the best years of my life (ages 18-24) working as a slave/drone in their factory, so i rationalized that i had given them enough... so over the next 27 years i would say maybe $200 bucks is it.

  i think their whole "voluntary contributions" idea is biting them in the ass, because over all jehovah's witnesses are a cheap group people with a few exceptions.

  A certain segment of people don't seem able to cope with any form of hardship (lack of constant praise) without lashing out and hurting others. They have never been taught any accountability - everything in their life has been declared not their fault or out of their control. Anti-social behavior is "treated" with drugs instead of consequence and some work ethic to teach them any sense of purpose and achievement. - yep, this is the naked, unvarnished truth. But the truth sometimes hurts, so expect a few down-votes.

  the truly mentally ill are rarely dangerous - yes, I think I agree. My mum was a manic depressive. She had to take Lithium tablets to be 'stable', as it were. Once or twice she refused to take them. She never was violent, or a danger to herself or others.

  'So-and-so wouldn't harm a fly' - that phrase was made for my mum.

  Weird how the Democrats are perfectly fine in making slurs against the mentally-ill in order to avoid an honest, open discussion about mass shootings and terrorism.
