Just read thru the two threads posted by Las Malvinas.
Lloyd just cannot take criticism. He is just insufferable. If he's like that in real life, he'd be one of those people I'd completely ignore. If he was my boss at work, I'd change jobs. His personality really is that bad.

i was under the impression that it was going to be a short war, that russia’s military would indeed subdue ukraine’s forces quickly but that is not happening.

Both countries use slightly different forms of the Cyrillic alphabet. There are four characters in the Russian alphabet which don't appear in the Ukranian one - yes, I know this.
All three languages use the same alphabet (Cyrillic).
German has four extra letters - umlaut over a, o and u, plus the letter ß (scharfes S).
German and English both use the same alphabet (Latin/Roman).

So... not a thought on honouring their Croatian heritage and giving them a name in their own language? - good point.
Also, a sensible compromise would be to give the girls names which are common to both languages - e.g. Maria, etc.
