  Michael Brown verdict discussion policy - take II

  i had originally thought that making the rules clear about what was and wasn't going to be allowed when discussing the michael brown verdict that we'd be able to avoid some of the unpleasantness that surrounded the subsequent trayvon martin trial discussions.. michael brown verdict discussion policy.

  i had hoped that once the evidence came out there would not be as many people promoting opinions that contradicted it.

  unfortunately, that appears to have been naive of me.

  A Jehovers Witness until the day i die.!!

  i have met many who i call " jehovers witnesses untill the day they die".

  and i think one of the main reasons is jehovers witnesses do not wan't to change their living conditions.. i have reasoned that my motivation to awaken was i wanted to change my living conditions.. this motivation made me an enemy to watchtower indoctrination, which i now saw was blocking my energies for achiving my personal goals.

  the " watchtower club" had now become my enemy.. i was now able to question the reationalism of watchtower doctrines, and i saw free discussion was not toletated.

  Excellent OP, nhah.

  The desire to improve my job propects led to me finally throwing in the towel re 'the truth' - I was not happy being stuck in dead-end jobs and the 'New System' being continually just around the corner just did not wash.

  Although I'm no longer a JW, I'm sure the experience myself and most if not all exJWs had living under the WTS will stay with us, in some way, the rest of our lives.

  It hasn't changed my living conditions yet. But as long as I graduate with a decent degree (my lecturers feel I can attain an upper 2:1 or even a first, and I'm on course to do just that) then I'll be able to earn a decent wage doing something a) I like, and b) I'm quite good at.

  Kate - I understand why you're taking your position on this thread, in addition to your unfortunate personal circumstances.

  You seem to completely disregard race, ethnicity and culture (99 times out of a hundred a very good thing) but I tend to be critical.

  You, therefore, come across as a nice person (I'm sure you are) whereas I come across as a bit of a b*****d (it's true - I am).

  I really do hope that you and your family get the help you need and that your ex and any negligant police and social services get properly punished.

  The Rotherham case is not more important to me than your situation, but the details of that case are very noteworthy.

  LUHE, you haven't got a clue of the bigger picture - you're probably right.

  Rotheram is more important to you, and it's just a drop in the bucket - you call the thousands of abused Rotherham girls a drop in the bucket? Where's your fellow feeling?

  you're so easily led by fundamentalist nonesense that sensationalises Muslims issues where there is none - nonsense. There are big issues with multiculturalism and Islam.

  Kate - I'm sorry for what's happening to you and your family. Of course it is noteworthy to you. I hope that your ex and any criminal social workers get properly punished, and that you and your family get the help you need.

  As I said, I agree that all child abusers and their enablers should be punished and that social services and care homes should be immediately sorted out.

  At the risk of becoming as popular as a ginger stepchild, however, in Rotherham the overwhelming majority of abusers were British-Pakistani muslim men and their victims were white girls. It's difficult not to find this noteworthy and it's happened in other towns/cities across Britain.

  Sorry, Kate, I just realised it had nothing to do with race concerns what happened to you and yours. I apologise for any offence caused by my misunderstanding..

  Nevertheless, is the fact that the overwhelming majority of abusers in the Rotherham case were 'British minority ethnics' noteworthy at all?

  Kate - I agree with you that child abuse in general is a big problem and the flaws of the social services, care homes should be sorted out immediately.

  Abuse of white girls by muslim men has been repeated in other cities, too. Do you agree that this is noteworthy?

  I'm not telling you to do anything, Kate.

  If the Rotherham child abuse case is nothing to do with authorities being scared to report muslims then another explanation becomes neccessary if one considers the massive over-representation of British-Pakistani muslim men.

  And did Ms Giuliani physically attack the arresting officer or try to take his gun?
