  Thanks for that, NVR2L8. The post I remember was that in Morocco, a 'moderate' muslim country, JWs were told to preach only to tourists and to any Moroccan Christians they could find.

  we preach there to- just not in the open- or Islam would kill us all - you're not fooling anybody, DocHouse.

  I read here at JWN that preaching in muslim countries is only done to ex-pats and Christian minorities. Could somebody confirm this?

  Finkle- if one gulliblibly accepts an opinion as a fact- the fault is THEIR'S - agree 100% with you on this. But what about if opinion is forced onto people as fact?

  i have updated the article at memorial partakers with the figures released for 2014. no surprises here, it has risen yet again, this time by 6% over last year, and is now 14,121.. .

  Can you please explain why people living in, say, the UK need to have a witness but people living in Saudi Arabia don't?

  'Global, life-saving preaching work' is pure WTS propaganda, nothing more.

  DocHouse - if Christ will judge people living in China, Saudi, etc. that didn't receive a witness then wouldn't that make the preaching work unnecessary?

  DocHouse - I mentioned the other religions because the WTS has, throughout its history, loudly and persistently attacked the Catholic church whilst staying remarkably silent on the subject of atrocities committed in the name of other religions, Islam in particular. You've yet to properly address why this is so.

  Large areas of the globe do not get JWs knocking on their doors. If Armageddon happened tomorrow, what would happen to the hundreds of millions of decent, ordinary folk in China, India, Pakistan, N. Korea, Saudi Arabia, etc who are ignorant of WTS? As the apostle Paul said, how would any honest-hearted ones know the truth without somebody to preach it to them?

  Those religions [Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam] are complete fabrications - but isn't 'Churchianity' fabrication, too?. I don't think you've given this much thought,TBH.

  "Creationnist propaganda" comes from Churchianity- not science - are JWs creationists or scientists?

  after going through my teenage years trying to be the perfect jw, i realized that trying to live up to the standards imposed on me have been for worse & not for better.

  Sexual freedom is something personal that NO organization, religious or otherwise should control in females, males, anybody - quite right. What consenting adults choose to do in private is their business and nobody else's.

  Truly a sociopathic organization - again, spot on. I get the feeling WTS would rather everyone remained celibate and certainly didn't enjoy sex. Although I think that marriage is a good thing for consenting adults, the WT's attitude to sex is comparable to Victorian London's. Growing up in the WTS is an absolute nightmare for teenage boys (and teenage girls, I suppose).
