The Williams sisters aren't baptized.
They can claim to be JWs but they aren't really. Which is no bad thing.
Serena's currently fighting sexism in tennis as the pro grand slam tournaments have only given her 23 singles' titles.
ok... so the william sisters have in the past spoken openly about their faith by saying they are jehovah witnesses.
but do they attend regular meetings?
door to door ministry?

recently a friend and i were having a conversation about the news media.
he is a democrat but he’s also a very reasonable person.
i’ve known him for many years.
@PeacefulPete - 'media have never been trustworthy so let's just carry on with untrustworthy media.'
Accept it, people!
Pathetic.
........so far to date.
you've been warned....https://youtu.be/jjjnt5l5ts0.
domestic violence in the “tooth”... is this a thing?!.
you are starting to know me by now as i’m always full of questions... my clogs are always in motion and never stop... so another question for you to give me some guidance if you can.
based on pasts experience or cases you might heard of or seen, what advice could you give me in helping someone that is a jehovah witness, married with another jw but lives a marriage that is plagued by emotional domestic abuse and financial control?
The elders are of no real help in situations like this.
They are unqualified people who put their sole hope in a book written by Bronze Age goat herders. Not good.
Professional people need to be involved - counsellors, psychiatrists, maybe the police. You get my drift.

Domestic violence in the “tooth”... is this a thing?! - yes it is, sadly.
Domestic violence happens in families of all backgrounds. It happens among atheists, among religious people, etc.
It can be men on women and women on men.
It happens among gay couples, too.
I don't know whether there are higher or lower level of domestic violence among JWs, or whether that even matters.
But it's a sad and illegal thing that needs tackling.

when any mass shooting happens is it the president’s fault?
i’m talking over the last few decades..
Those words do not fit the OED definition - actually, they match up quite well.
If you had a war of words with someone, a la Trump and the 4 Dems, and said
"I think white people are superior to black people"
Well, I think that belief matches up fairly well with this ...
Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

going by the OED definition, none of this matters - if Trump's words are racist we need to see how his words match up to the dictionary definition of racism.
Even if Trump said "I think white people are superior to black people" ... Maybe he doesn't actually believe that white are superior to blacks - but his words would be racist. Because they match up to the dictionary definition.
Saying 'go back to where you came from' doesn't match the definition of racism.

@Rubadub, ok fair enough.
My point is that this isn't necessarily helpful because it might show how political correctness has taken over our work place.
Certainly if that kinda thing was said in the average workplace it would be considered rude. I'm not making excuses for that kinda behaviour.
However, the racist label is used so much that the currency starts to become devalued.
If we're gonna use the word racist then it has to match the dictionary definition.
Because if we don't have direct access to others beliefs, and we use OED as our guide, we really can't say anything about anyone being racist. - no, I disagree. The grand wizard of the KKK is a racist. NoI leader Louis Farrakhan, speaking of white people being inferior 'white devils', is racist.
Trump telling political opponents to GTFOH? Well ...
when any mass shooting happens is it the president’s fault?

Rubadub - your own words ...
1). The workers (4 women of color) call the boss a MF for being a racist. (italics mine)

Well, hell. . . ALL sentences are ambiguous! - not really, no.
If Trump had been caught saying 'I think white people are superior to black people', that would be an unambiguously racist statement. If Trump is or was a member of the KKK, then that would be unambiguous, too.
The evidence that supposedly shows Trump is a racist wouldn't stand up in a court of law.
He's been accused of being a sexual predator on the basis that he was caught saying 'some women will let rich guys get away with anything, grab their pussy, anything.' While what he said was obviously stupid, there needs to be actual evidence of him being a sexual predator if he really is one. Same applies to charges of racism.
