Watchtower's deception regarding blood transfusions

you also ask why one can be dis-fellowshipped for taking a blood transfusion but not for taking blood fractions.

while both may affect the life of an individual, the expression "life-sustaining" in connection with blood transfusions is synonymous with the idea of taking in food for nourishment.

in this regard both whole blood and major components of it carry nutrients, oxygen, and other nourishment to the body.

Well, I think ultimately the bloodless route is ideal. However there are certain situation where it becomes necessary. Much like chemo is not ideal for the body but in certain situations it becomes necessary.

I think they see that a total blood ban was an error however to many children have been sacrificed on the policy a quick 180 would be unacceptable. But know thanks to medicine blood has been broken down for different situations.

The watchtowers hope most is that down the road all these things can be treated by the so called fractions that they will allow. This will allow them to undo the policy without actually undoing it.

Things like this make me wonder what is going on,

One side thinks there are puppet masters behind the scenes controlling everything, but if that is the case I don't see the strategy to thumbing their noses at Judges and legal decrees.

My thoughts on these matters is, if you take a look at what their lawyer said on jwtv that all victories in the court are because of God. They have had a lot of victories in court but most of them are on just grounds things that are human rights violations, many other people have also had similar success in court(the 1900s were full of victories in racial,sex and other rights victories no divine intervention needed there).

I think the reason for these crazy delay tactics and long shot appeals and failure to obey court orders, is done with them thinking God is gonna miraculously intervene and move the judge to throw all these cases out. However to bad for them child abuse is not the same as fighting for someone imprisoned because his human rights have been violated.

Well just means that the inquiry into them will go forward.

They were notified of the inquiry had window to appeal, in stranded fashion thumbed there nose at the system appealed after the time limit and lost.

Though I still don't see how one could appeal a decision to open an investigation. Um no we don't wont you looking in to see if anything wrong was done. Nothing to see here move along.

If the inquiry decides against them it would be real bad news, though the chances of that are slim. The best I think anyone can hope for is maybe it opens a door on the proceedings of handling of child abuse and judicial committees, maybe get some more documentation on the public record.

over the years, i've come to notice that some of the friends will not touch the plate with the bread or the cup of wine ,when the emblems are being passed around.

i remember a row of 3 people told the brother to skip over them.

every year i have noticed this behavior.

According to Oct.1st 2012 WT Directions- Past Child Molesters CAN Be Appointed Elders

considering the fact that the wt society refuses to release in courts any of it's written directions to elders through confidential letters to elder bodies- i thought i'd do the courts and wt society a "favor " by posting excerpts from this oct 1st.

2012 letter from the wt society to all bodies of elders.

these instructions are very exposing of the negligence of wt authorities in how they view the seriousness of felony child abuse.

Another interesting point I found is its not just letters but there is also verbal instruction as well as instruction given at elders school that has even less of a paper trail.

This point was brought out in the Richard Ashe deposition this is Zalkin reading from a paragraph in an outline for a elders school.

Q. In that it says, "When one fills his mind with the many wholesome, good, virtuousand loveable things of God's word, such a one is strengthened and refreshed," and it cites Psalms 19, 7, 8, and 14. "Experience proves that constant rehashing of past abuse has a discouraging effect. It is not wise for one to indiscriminately divulge ones past bad experiences to others in the congregation, nor to get together with others for what some view as group therapy. Talking indiscriminately to others about child abuse, may result in circulating damaging and harmful talk. Such talk may be slanderous if proof of alleged wrongdoing is lacking."

Interesting is the last point Slanderous comments is a disfellowshiping offence, so if a victim of abuse was to continually talk about the case with others in the congregation (non-elders that is talking to elders about anything even if there is little evidence is not slander, this would also include talking with authorities) they could face a judicial committee if they were "LACKING" in evidence of the wrongdoing.

see jws have said time and again jesus died once for all time... a quote from hebrews.

okay rule out humn-like aliens what about animals plants and microbes... i once had a hot fight with an elder when i still believed that here was no reason to doubt alien animals etc.

yet not based on any wt article witnesses reject this often.. lets suppose say in a month microbes are found on ceres (i doubt it will happen but let's roll with it) they are living as much as our cells are and reporduce... okay what would mother say in the magazines when millions of jehovah's witnesses demand to know why jehovah created microbes on a dwarf planet?.

This is a perfect example of a double stance, and the major issues with the rank and file not seeing what is going on.

There public stance is - For the protection of our children, a man known to have been a child molester does not qualify for a responsible position in the congregation. Moreover, he cannot be a pioneer or serve in any other special, full-time service.—Compare the principle at Exodus 21:28, 29. (w97 1/1 pp. 28-29)

That is what all the rank and file know and why so many fight tooth and nail saying they don't appoint child molesters.
Then you have this secret letter that the rank and file have not seen, that says the complete opposite. That a child molester can with time be appointed or reappointed.

I do like the principle in Ex 21:28,29 but more interesting is vs 30 well the courts have imposed a ransom to be paid, yet they do not want to pay up.

I think it is because so many have been mistreated by people in the ORG (namely elders). Also coupled with a feeling of being robbed of a large part of ones life.

But I do agree with you no benefit on a personal level to harboring any hostility so anyone.

there was an awake article about archeaologist who found an ancient piece of art.

it was sent to a university for dating.

From what I have read dating rock paintings is a lot more difficult, there are methods but I don't know how accurate they are.

their are two australian guys scheduled for execution in indonesia in the very near future for drug smuggling , they were the ring leaders of seven others involved.this happened a number of years ago when the australian authourities notified their indonesian counterparts that drugs were to be smuggled out of indonesia into australia by australian citizens .. some argue , why didn` t the australian authourities simply arrest these people on arrival in australia where no capital punishment is on the agenda .. by all accounts they have now been on death row for many years and have turned their lives around , being role models to other prisoners and changing their lives .. i personally have mixed feelings about all this and would like your input .. should these two be executed ?.

should they spend the rest of their life in an indonesian jail .

should they be given an alternative sentence .?.

I am anti-death penalty in almost all cases, exceptions would be in more brutal senseless killing, cop killing and the odd cause were the person desires to die (if he is mentally competent).

But for drug trafficking, big no. Sorry to say the only way to end the drug problem is to kill the demand. Harsh penalties really do nothing to even hinder it.
