Are the empty places on the shelves where the Chinese Communist Dictatorship removed books on Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, and Printed records of the Bill of Rights ? I am assuming they also removed any books on Human Rights, minimum wage, universal education free to all through High School or books on the Democratic Process, The French Revolution, the American Revolution, Ghandi, and I am sure you will not find the writings of Jean-Jacues Rousseau such as On the Social Contract, or his Discourse on the Origin of Inequality.

I don't think they care what they're saying. If all the R&F leave, they'll be left with enough money to buy their own country if they want to. They exude that sense of entitlement that only the wealthy possess. The Shakers are a defunct religion that made a few hangers-on very wealthy.

They sold the New York City buildings for $345 million , divided by seven Governing Body Members, that is about $50,000,000 ( 50 million US dollars each ) And that is the tip of iceberg in worldwide real estate holdings which can be liquidated fast. No complicated "Charities" that they run, no schools or hospitals or slum missions or housing for the poor, no paid employees to worry about, no pension funds, nothing but pure profit.
Who has legal signing rights on the money ? Access to the cash ? The Societies assests and cash are owned by Shareholders of the Corporation.
The number of voting shareholders of the WT Corporation is limited to between 300 and 500 male Jehovah's Witnesses according to google search under WBTS of Pennsylvania. Note: ALL men, no women. You have to know that these puppets of the "voting shareholders " cannot just write themselves a check. ? Or can they ? But they are listed as SHAREHOLDERS in a Corporation, does this mean they hold actual shares ? Do they get dividends on the many investments ? Shares based on real estate and cash and stock market holdings ? They therefore "Own" the society ? This is mindboggling.
IF they actually hold shares on paper, that is traceable through the freedom of information act and the rules of the Securities and Exchange commision. There has to be a dollar worth assigned to the share. Its an oligarchy of shareholders.

Demon attacks on JW in past, where'd they go?
by thedepressedsoul inin the 80's and 90's (maybe even earlier) i remember hearing lots of witnesses talk about "demon attacks".
whether it was someone studying the bible who then started having strange things happen in their house to people bringing stuff home from yard sales and getting personal attacks and horrible dreams resulting in them dystroying stuff they brought home or getting rid of it.. .
i also remember hearing a sister say she had to pray in a home with a study because the study started to get attacked.

I have pondered this question privately for years since it was drilled into my dear litte ear that Jesus was a "lesser god" and still we pray "in his name" and are to apply to him for help. Of course the real problem is the claim of the Governing Body to be the first "gateway" or channel to God himself, and not a direct route one on one. Christians by combining Jesus and Jehovah is some mysterious linked oneness, simplifies their direct access to God and they need no mediator in the form of a "Governing Body" or anybody. Unless they are Catholics and use Priests and Popes and whatnot. Whew this is exhausting.
Anyway - I think JW have a very materialistic religion. Its all about beautiful young people in a fruit orchard, eating piles of colorful fruit, with birds flying overhead, and everybody with gleaming white teeth and picnic baskets on green lawns, besides babbling brooks and lots of cute Panda Bears frolicking around. La,La,La,La land. For Jehovah's Witnesses, it all has to smell good, be bright and sunny and everyone dressed well and enjoying very visable never invisible or mysterious rewards that no one can describe, for witnesses, it has to be all like an animated cartoon movie.
For witnesses, everything is paint by numbers. Classes, ranks, everything explainable and step by step calculations, countable, formulated, controlled, neat and tidy and very visable mental images. The Trinity is simply not a visible or explainable concept and its about very mysterious and mystical forces that are completely unpredictable and unseen, so to explain it to a witness, is like trying to expalin calculus to a frog. They are not ready for it. And they keep hopping about.

Arguing never work because that's what jw's love to do. Core doctrines ? The absolute core is the Governing Body and thinking they are "special" and are the "sole channel of communication between man and God" that is the core. After that delusion is dismantled, all doctrines are up to question , since the GB is NOT who they say they are. Then thier peculiar doctrines making them the "central stars" of the Bible, becomes clearly nothing but embarrasing grandiosity.
Lots of churches believe in a 1000 year earthly reign of Christ and all different kinds of "bodies" physical, and "spiritualized physical" and variation on the theme is out there. The JW doctrines are NOT unique !!
Thats what he thinks, that he has "Special Knowledge " This is the core. Special Knowledge. Exclusive knowledge. " I know something you do not understand" That makes me "special" I belong to a "special group" of exclusive select who follow the only channel to God. That is what he believes. Not the way he would say it, but he can't say it out loud, because its too ridiculous.
The first thing a JW has to do to is clear themsleves of this core "special knowledge" idea. There is no special knowledge, everything knowlable, can be known, by anybody, without attachment to special guides or allegiance to ritual or mysterious groups. The core book to unravel his delusions is still Crisis of Conscience, written in the Watchtower Style. Thats why it works.
After that, there is the long step down - off the high horse - to being just one of us regular confused slobs who accept and respect other people and their opinions and ways of worshiping as just as legitimate as anything we or anyone can think up. Its a long step, many never make.

Aunt Fancy has a good suggestion about reading Crisis of Conscience. I believe you said in some other post that he still believes the doctrines ? The cult control books are useful for people who do not believe the doctrines, but COC is a peculiar book, in that it is written in cult-speak and "reaches" people at that level, the insider level, in language only an insider can respond to. People have criticsized Franz for not going further than he did, but I think he was a 'gateway' for a special purpose and got to people, like nobody else could have, because of his own intimate involvement in writing for the WT. get him to read this book , it may accomplish actual freedom and wake him up like nothing else can.

Christians claim to be informed by the Bible, all I am saying is Romans11th chapter says Israel is never abandoned and it makes a point that Israel is NOT replaced by Gentiles or Christians and that "deliverance" comes out of Zion at the end of the Gentile times.
Again a religious discussion not relating to the news video clip inserted above, which is modern day, todays news regarding the ceasefire or lack of ceasefire in between Hamas and Israel.
Right now our attention is turning to ISIS in Iraq which is beheading Christians and Kurds who are religious groups called Yezidism which is a mix of Jew and Muslim and Christian apparently, and its off with their heads by ISIS ( Islamic State) who has Kurds huddling in the mountains as ISIS armies descend on northern Iraq to create a Caliphate. The Kurd's religion is derived from Zoroastrianism. Kurds believe God and seven Angela gaurd the world. Outsiders cannot convert. 40,000 are now trapped on Mount Sinjar in northwest Iraq.
Caliphate; the idea that the entire world should be Muslim, by force.
Communism has its narrative as well, even though it is athesitic.
