Major Doctrinal Changes Must Be On The Way

I cant see them dropping the 144000 idea, how would that play out at memorial?that would be quite a stir, all the people who claim to be anointed, would get pretty upset and be viewed as 'mentally diseased' [unless they will finally split the two ideas and realize the 144000 are not necessarily also the anointed. as the anointed can be without set number....]

same with the blood issue, all these years forcing people to accept a rule about food ignoring obvious scriptures to support that, and having people die.

as for 1914, good possibility, because at this point Id be fairly certain that most newer Jws are clueless as to what it even means,and all the people who were supposed to see 'the end' are dead.

but maybe there will be a New idea presented, to be interwoven in with the already labyrinthine ideas they already have.

the blame for mankind's sicknesses/diseases and consequent death has been placed squarely on the shoulders of adam:.

romans 5:12, 17 - 19:"therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—for if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man.......consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people........for just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners........".

1 corinthians 15: 21, 22:"for since death came through a man........... for as in adam all die.......".

often times, i solve my curiosity and frustration by believing we are the offspring of some alien race that crash landed on earth.lol

they were stuck here, had to adapt, and thats why the bible has so many stories about super humans and spirits. [and thats why we have so many unsolved amazing mysteries. like how some things were built or whatever]

and like in some Disney pixar movies, they stayed in a 'garden' [safe] area until they had no choice but to move 'out' into the unknown harsh world. lol

And if galaxies move away from each other, we will never find those who crashed here on earth again.

[but if were here, there are more like us.]

Why Is it the Girls who Hang in There?

having seen many, many people leave the org over the years, i have to say that, when it comes to married couples, it's almost always the man who makes the first move to leave.

conversely, when it comes to being converted into the witnesses, more often than not it's the wife who joins up first.

although that wasn't the case with my own parents, my father became converted and my mother followed very reluctantly..

in my experience, the men I know typically hate to read and study, [ and socialize,lol ]

most men are more hands on problem solvers, doers,they don't like to waste time over analyzing trivial things.

so the sooner they can escape that jw 'obligation' the better for them.

women like the social circle, its easier when you have a lot of family in , and you live close by to them, but those who have no family in or very few, find it harder to find a social circle to get into.

women also have some feelings of obligation to hold shit together. despite our own souls failing to pieces .

The physical effects of Cognitive Dissonance

most of us here have gone through, or are going through the various stages "cognitive dissonance".. this is a term used to describe a situation where our minds, and hearts just know that something is "not quite right", and therefore we find ourselves in a muddle trying to reconcile the things we know with the things we are hearing or being told.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/cognitive_dissonance.

so just wondering, how many of you found yourselves (or still find yourselves) becoming phyiscally ill in some way during the time of fading?.

i know that when i look back, for several years even before i was awake to the many issues and facts about the society, i would feel ill at assemblies or conventions.

its emotionally damaging to us and our health to know something that needs corrected,

and that we feel we cant do anything about it.

its like being paralyzed in a wheel chair and watching people burn in a house fire

because the only thing you can do is yell and they wont listen.

its horrible.

Summer Regional Convention

has anyone attended the sunday program of the summer regional convention, remain loyal to jehovah?.

i have been very concerned about the tone of discussion surrounding sundays program.

i went to friday and sat., not sunday.

miss. , I want to sympathize with you greatly, and everyone else for that matter,

that has a [adult] child that has basically shunned or has an attitude about them.

there are few greater emotional pains than to have your own flesh and blood turn on you, and then to have them convince others to share that warped view.

I know the pain, and it is difficult to live with every day. it eats at your soul. It breaks your spirit. even if you have the opportunity to discuss things and it seems to be ok, you'll always question their intentions.

You permanently live in doubt.

it comes to a point where you find joy in nothing at all , your simply existing for the benefit of others.

The very fact that someone who claims to love us, can treat us in such hurtful ways, is proof that their conscience and thinking ability has been altered.

Id like to think normally our own children or close family wouldnt turn against us unless they were mercilessly convinced of something.

and I bet they still have a hard time still accepting that thought process. and then it eats at them.

You however are seeing the obvious. And to question things, shows your finally reasoning on you own.

don't turn your back on it.

this is not merely an encouragement for all christians to prove themselves faithful and discreet.

just called into the kingdom hall, speaker said he couldn't tell if anyone was listening to his talk now that everyone uses electronic devices and nobody laughed... well i did!.

he also mentioned when everyone used the bible he could hear the pages flipping and he knew they were following along.

this was really funny to me.

yea been there. I feel your pain. its basic respect they lack for your privacy and right to parent your own kids.

no help when you need it, when your jumping through hoops, but people sure find faults way later.

so much for being supportive.

but Im the mom, and had someone got in my way and I became aware of it, Id have pounced all over them.

elders were my equal. I chose to view them that way because its a fact. i never was in fear of the elders, and they knew it. they make mistakes too.

if they do not claim to be special, and are fellow Christians , then that means I am every bit if not more exp than they are. and often times I was.

tell them...

My kid ,lay off. my business, mind your own, follow your own advice and don't listen to gossip and stay out of my right to parent. i can read a bible.

isnt it funny, somehow this org thinks its ok to tell adults what to do...

were adults we dont need some other adult to tell us what to do and how to think.

hope all goes well
