i was totally p***d off about watchtower teaching u should keep your life simple and not investing in treasures in the earth etc while they are buying luxury apartments and forcing its residents out on the street including children.

that new gray bible is so messed up i cant stand reading it. inserting all sorts of words where they dont belong, changing sentences and words . its to form a works based doctrine and to deny the importance of Jesus.

ever read a wt article and underline how many times the name Jehovah is in the article? its outright annoying.

research impossible

so, now that nearly all of the past knowledge that jw's has had is slowly being deleted, how does anyone do any research on any subject?.

meetings are pretty boring as it is, all they do is parrot the society's writings.. how is this going to work?

i have to wonder , what point is the service meeting , once you know how to walk up to a door and hand someone a magazine.

I have all the old stuff , that isnt what i was getting at. its the irony that if someone who is a jw wants to do research, they cannot, because they cant find any 'right' answers. all the old stuff is basically obsolete doctrine

its like trying to research how to use an iPhone using a user Manuel for a rotary phone from 1975.

wont work. so now no one will have any reason to look anything up.

who can afford to take two months off work? and neglect the family?

so these will all be single young non working people, who can be easily brainwashed.

its like joining the peace corps, but not really.

do we understand these three words: worship, idolatry, and blasphemy?.

most christians have a vague notion of worship, idolatry, and blasphemy already, but.

a clear definition is necessary.. we must take care to differentiate, however.. how the words appear in original language and how they are defined today might be at odds.. ____________________.

Good observation.

Ive had a difficult time getting my mom to realize that when a person is so quick to defend these imperfect, ever changing 'faithful slavers' and the organization, in that , it is the first thing that pops into their head if you say anything against the orgs ideas.

God is now in the second place slot, and Jesus the third, and this in fact is idol worship.

its difficult to even defend the bible when you use the nwt and not another version such as niv or kjv.

since it so clearly has removed Jesus authority, deity, and has added a works based belief system, by adding 'exercise' before the word faith. I cant get over how much they have changed, after all I never read any other bibles before.

they totally demolished Romans [esp ch 14] . they took Jesus right out of the picture.

well, lol, I mean the whole bible.

all Jws can do spring cleaning and toss out all their literature. makes for good fireplace kindle. after all its all been changed, you cant use anything pre 2009 [maybe pre 2014] for research, so why have it? get some room in them there closets.

she's not even american and doesn't live in the usa so it's not even her area of political awareness really.

she seems convinced that obama is the prophesied wolf in sheep's clothing mentioned in revelation.. it's unusual for non-us dubs to hold the weirder beliefs, so this is a new one for me.

she also said that the end is very close now and that things are a foot with north korea; it's clearly the king of the north.. she said exactly the same thing 5 years ago about china, and exactly the same thing 10 years ago about iraq.. derp derp..
