just checked the faq on jw.org as i wanted to show a df'd friend of ours how dishonest they were being about thier shunning policy.. well don't you know they've only gone and got honest about shunning df'd ones:.

what is deceiving is the use of the word 'moral' which can be interpreted in many ways to suit the situation, and thus apply it to 'principals' not morals.
and those principals of those men who are on the seat of judgment.

my mother in law lost her husband to cancer recently.
so feeling lonely and been pushed by her sister (active witness) after not stepping in a hall for 20 years she went to a sunday meeting.
one meeting where she had the surreal experience of having to watch a "special talk" on jw tv.
well, if she [and her jw sister ]
hasnt seen the 'light' from that experience
shes truly in the dark.

it has an elderly sister talking about being old in this world...a long time pioneer who probably thought the end would have come years ago...as the society told her many times.. now she is told to be on a mission to get young ones to also pioneer, and watch for the not so subtle condemntion of higher education!.

id say there is proof in numbers, Islam has more followers to begin with simply because of population, and most likely larger families
so obviously its more known among the population followed by other large religious organizations.
since they do not go door to door, how they gain followers is quite interesting.
i actually have a hard time seeing the jws around for another 100 years, I see it morphing into yet another religion.
