  wow, the reader of the pamphlets gleaned that info from reading them ? huh, wow. whoda thunk it,lol

  I live in a minimally furnished and quite organized three room apartment.....lol

  If all the world were JWs....

  in my former indoctrinated state, i used to yearn for a time when all the world would be jws.

  but hang on minute, let's just think about what the world would be like if everyone was a jw,.

  first of all, no higher education, so no medical advances, no scientific research, no modern day medicine, infectious disease rife, no doctors, no engineers, so no modern day comforts.

  do we have issues with the site or is it my mac or firefox?

  im on a mac-book, and when im at the site, often my mac runs real slow, im typing and the letters are not there, and pop up a few seconds later.

  weird stuff.

  it sometimes freezes up on me.

  i have no problem until im at this site, this is when my text is invisible, my pages skitter around and load badly, and i have to click on a post over and over again to get it to stay put. whats up with that?

  there is no threat of any sort, how would the old world be forgotten ? cant use any of this current mindset.

  Im on a mac-book, and when Im at the site, often my mac runs real slow, im typing and the letters are not there, and pop up a few seconds later. weird stuff. it sometimes freezes up on me. and i sometimes hear a quick voice in the background as if there is another tab open or page ,something is running in the background,slowing my laptop up terribly at times, this has been an issue for me for about 6 months, I dont know a soul who is familiar with macs, and Im on my own as how to resolve the issue, does anyone know If I should do a system restore? and will this affect my itunes account? is it maybe firefox? I dont use safari anymore it wont play most videos, must be too old.

  i have a mac os-x 10.6.8 about 5 yrs old at least.
  

  i did back up my files on to an external hd so i can do a restore, or is there a better way to get rid of whatever is causing the problems

  They're now asking people to clean at Bethel?

  i heard from a "friend" that a letter was read aloud during the midweek meeting asking people to volunteer to do cleaning work in bethel.

  lol.

  i really can't think of anything else to say if this is true.. they get more free labor, and they still ask for more more more money!!

  how about this one?......

  All of us have questions
  that have no answers
  and memories that hurt.
  An unknown future.
  A past that haunts.
  Lost time
  Lost love
  Lost friends
  Lost chances
  Mistakes we cannot fix.
  Things we need are out of reach.
  We're tired and cant find Home.
  We put on a shell, put up a wall,
  to protect our heart.
  It hurts too much to dwell
  It drains our energy to grieve.
  We need to go on living...
  Behind every face is a mind full of stories,
  hurts and joys and trials.
  The world is always changing.
  The greatest gift a god could give,
  Other than life itself,
  Would be the Ability,
  to go back and change the past.
  Fix mistakes, and take those chances,
  To make the future brighter.
  But one Gift we already have
  is the Gift of choice.
  We can choose to turn away from the
  negative, and seek with determination
  The positive.
  Take with us knowledge.
  Keep the flame in our heart lit.
  We must present to others as much
  of the Gift of joy as we can
  Even if it be for a little while.
  For it is life's water .
  For every one we meet,
  A sunny smile is sometimes
