funny, just yesterday I was talking to my mom who just had her C.O.visit, she told me they went out on thanksgiving day

I said wouldnt it have been better had they instead of bothering people who have company, went and visited people from the kingdom hall?how does anyone ever get to know anyone if all they do is say hello to you at the kingdom hall?

she quickly dfended it saying 'well they most likely went to older return visits and some of the ones who were sick. , [no, they didnt this i know]

well, I sat there bitting my tongue, becasue what i wanted to say was ,

you dont need a circus overseer visiting for the sole purpose of checking up on everyones feild service records, and dictating new rules to the elders

what you need is the local brothers to actually give a crap about the real people that are alreaddy in the congregations and maybe associating with people and getting to KNOW them as FREINDS!

what other than tp check up on people and provide intimidation to the elders is the real purpose of a co??

i am looking for a copy that has that map inside front cover with the raptor.

does anyone else feel like it was just a way to beg for donations!!!.

the society gives them a minimal wage to preach 130 hours so we should be the ones sending them money and good and clothes.

it's not like they help the community they go to, i've known missionaries when i was younger who were in deepest darkest soith america in villages with no water, instead of passing in skills and worthwhile tools they just study then go home.

against certain things, like gays, or birth control, or rather tolerate it more, but is that a genuine change of doctrine?.

lol, yea, I bet no one would even know actually, like me, i dont know anything about other religions, how many people know about the wt org and how it changes so much? probalby not many, thats why they remain somewhat successful

well, then, i suppose it has happened to other faiths, but certainly not to the extent and obvious way the wt org does.

apparently then what the wt org has is the new light of changing thier minds.

so recently, several over-righteous ones in the cong were discussing "how amazing it felt when they got baptised".

statements like "how awesome did it feel as you got raised back out of the water?!".

or the classic "i felt so close to jehovah as i came out of the pool"!.

nothing, there was only three that day getting dunked , me my husband and someone in a wheelchair.

i hated getting all wet and looking stupid with a swim cap on so as not to ruin my hair.

my husband stopped going about two years after he got baptised anyway.

im sure he felt nothing as well

even though the catholic church clearly has its own unbiblical teachings, it seems like not much has changed ,

at least that Im aware of, being a housewife with no cable tv, lol.
