Umbertoecho here.
by umbertoecho inhello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.
helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.
i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

Lurkers: A truth is either true, or it isn't. There is no in between.
by cappytan intruth is absolute.
there is no such thing as 2=1 or 1=2.. if one starts out with the equation 2=1, one has already failed.. truth = truth.
you cannot change whether something is truth or not.. when the organization teaches one thing as a truth (ex.

What Was The Silliest "Offense" That You Were Counseled For?
by minimus inwhen i was a teenager, i was told by an elder that because i smiled a lot and was known for my good sense of humor, that i should come across as "more serious".
so before i was appointed a ms, while in my late teens, i transformed myself into a much more "serious" brother.. were you ever told that you needed to work on something that you knew was stoopid?.

I was working the stage at the FF assembly hall in Ca.
The edge of the stage has a raised surface.
From anywhere in the auditorium it would very difficult to see anyone's shoes. The CO gave me the boot, because my shoes were not shiny. ( nice black suede shoes ). I was dumb and went into the audience and traded shoes with a friend that had shiny ones...
Years later, when I was trying to figure out what I doing and how to escape "privileges" first and the cult second, I remembered how to get booted off the stage. I wore slacks and a sports coat instead of a suit. ( ooops! ) They never saw me again.

money
by pepperheart inhi now they are only printing one magazine a month rather than two what do people think the borg will do with all the money they will have saved rather than printing about 55 million copies of the watchtower

Either the money is funneling away to some controlling group that runs WT or they will use the money to fight the impossible to win legal battles.
That's what I think.

Lyman Swingle (GB) told me what would bring down the Organization!
by new boy init was about 15 years ago.......... i was at a one day special event in woodburn or.
i was talking to lyman swingle about how the society could save some money.
it was a crazy idea ( to crazy to relate here)...............anyway he laughed and said to me.. "brother..........we have always had the money to do the things we needed to do.......and if we didn't.......we felt it was god's holy spirit telling us, it wasn't what we should be doing".......so...i said "so the money is like a barometer, no approval, no money"......he said "yea..... i guess you could say that!

When it becomes painfully obvious that Warwick is a retirement center for the WTS board of directors and upper management, it will be too late.
This has all the smell of closing shop and firing everyone without notice.

Nailing them for all their criminal conduct is the only way to go.
All of them.

What did being a JW teach you?
by punkofnice inthese are some of the things the wbt$ 'taught' me:.
dishonesty is fine if it's to trick people into joining the cult.. if your spouse stops believeing, the best thing you can do is break up the family.. the laws of the governing body overrule any other laws...or else!.
my friends are conditional.. avoid loving people, they'll only let you down or get df'd.. unintelligent dumbos are better than intelligent ones if the dumbos are elders or above.. hate is better than love.. i am not good enough and god will probably enjoy killing me.. demons will appear in my room at night.. ignore practicallity if being practical or loving prevents the leaders getting money or praise.. god hates.

To be suspect of the motives of people that do good for others that are not JWs.
To feel guilty for being a human being.
To look for the worst in others ( so I can report them )
To ignore the maniacal leadership of the GB.

10 Years On...
by done4good injust a note that 10 years ago, (christmas day, 2005), was my last time inside a kh.
a lot has taken place for the better in those 10 years:.
1. met the love of my life and happily married for 9 years, two days ago.. 2. completed a master's degree.. 3. work at senior management level in the it field.. 4. have a savings and retirement, and no debt outside of a mortgage and 1 car loan.. 5. lots of travel to several places that i never would have done as a jw.. 6. contribute to what i believe are meaningful causes.. 7. read, think, and meditate for myself.. 8. have a great extended family i inherited from my wife.. 9. lots of other great stuff, too much to list.. none of this is intended to be boastful.

I just posted this on FB this morning.
Wrapping up what has proven to be the very best year of my life!
Accomplishments, re-connections, focus, peace, drive and goodwill.I mean this sincerely, once we come to terms that the WT part of our lives are over, it's in our hands fully what kind of life we will make for ourselves
I plan to stick around and offer help and encouragement as I am able.
I'm so thankful thank many have embrace me as I came through this most difficult time. -

Money Grab started in India
by cognitivedizzy ini don't know how the fellow who made the resolution from stage to send 80% of the congregation funds to the indian branch as an outright donation made it with a straight face.
and all the sheeples nodded like they understood the shit he were spewing.
i'm so mad at this cult .

Sounds like the Indian JWs are sending in all funds to HQ before closing up shop.
More details will come out. They always do.

It hurts sometimes, but freedom isn't free, there's always a cost.
Escaping the watchtower always comes with injury.
Everyone knows this. It's even in the magazines and experiences.
That fairly recent "Prodigal Son" video was what I saw after my last convention.( We took a chartered bus from to Napa from SF Cow Palace, so we got to watch the video on the ride home. Yippee!! )
I was only occasionally attending the meetings then and that video coupled with an honest evaluation of the way I was being treated by "the friends" was enough for me to find the door for good. That's the hardest part about leaving. Finding the door.
