  which i truly do respect because my girlfriend is part of but i just don't understand, i have researched so much about it.

  so much about how its discouraged for her to be with me just cause of different religion.

  Reflecting on my Disfellowshipping

  today is the day.. i was baptized as one of jehovah's witnesses on march 25th 1989.disfellowshipped for admitted apostasy today, september 10th 2015.. what an amazing story we all share.

  how did we get involved with this group and think this was the best way of life?.

  i asked my wife to stay home from the meeting tonight and spend the evening with me.she is.... we celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary this past monday.. i must admit, i never saw any of this coming, but it couldn't have come sooner.i'm free of all the fake friendships.

  One year later:

  First I want to say how much this exJW community means to me. The support is genuine and comforting.

  My wife ( dub ) and I celebrated our 20th anniversary all this week.

  I survived and so can ANY OF YOU that are still-in and need an out.

  where have the demons gone?

  does anybody remember some of the sensational demon stories jw's would tell back in the day?

  i was a kid in the early 80's and i remember a few times hearing of people having real life encounters with demons.

  for example, one sister claimed that before she became a jdub she would regularly talk to demons and they would even fix stuff like her washing machine!

Pray out loud and use God’s name. Remember that he is more powerful than are wicked spirits. Follow this wise course. Do not listen to such voices from the spirit world. (Proverbs 18:10; James 4:7) This does not mean that everyone who hears “voices” is being spoken to by demons.   Got my JC cancelled... (at least for now)

  so my wife and i have been in the process of fading for a few months now as per my original post here.

  about a week ago, i was browsing some ex-jw facebook groups when i saw a post that linked to the crisis of conscience book.

  i said "f@(k it" and hit share on it.. a few hours later, i get a long text letter from my mom (who was a fb friend of mine) telling me the typical "good luck finding friends in the world" and how we have "nothing in common anymore"; basically, it was a 'farewell' text.

  Cut them off from this point onward if you can.

  If you can manage completely ignoring them and walking away, I can't recommend it higher. This is your life and they are ruining it.

  but what does the information they do publish indicate about their situation?

  It wouldn't surprise me if the leadership receives money in a secret way.

  As in, illegal payments/payroll disguised as 'expenses'.

  I am convinced the deception is premeditated and planned for maximum profits. I hope this is proven true and the criminals at the top are brought to justice for their evil practices.

  i think arguing or debating scriptures is the most pointless thing ever.

  everything at their meetings are so basic with no explanation.

  I got out just before the use of tablets and videos as presentations.

  My wife admitted she doesn't bring a paper copy of the Bible to the door anymore. It's unbelievable.

  Part of the video that bothered me, was the complete lack of respect when the man was reading form his bible. The sister was,'mmm hmm', 'yeah', while searching her tablet for a scripture to defend her beliefs, all the while ignoring the thoughts of those she is supposedly showing love toward. Shameful. Listen how many times she interrupts him while he is speaking.

  what do you think will happen when they start knocking on doors and telling people that their families will be killed in armageddon because they did not believed in jehovah.

  i'm curious how people will react.

  They will never switch to a message of judgement.

  It's one of many scary things that must happen prior to Harm-u-gettin.

  Gog's attack, the Assyrian, persecution, kings of north/south, attack on Babylon the Great, Great Tribulation, bunker life...

  It just goes on and on.

  It another thing to fear that acts as a control mechanism to maintain cult membership.

  my brother (a jw for 30 years) and i purchased a duplex.

  he lives in one house, i live in the other, our common area separating both houses is the backyard.

  we both can see each other's house across our common backyard.
