Am I an asshole? Probably.
Do I care? Not particularly.
---
What if I were a dub and I rolled past the lit cart, made eye contact with my fellow servants of jah and gave a hearty 'thumbs up'? Totally cool, right?
I just went thumbs down instead.

Nope. I have known them all for 25 years.
Shall i name them?
Two of them, twins, were students in a driving school I ran.
I installed tile in their homes and have worked in field service with all of them.
These are not strangers and I agree, my conduct would be weird if that were the case. You guys apparently ( evidently ) don't have the same level of pain I have seeing all these former friends every time I run errands here in a small town.
---
I won't be mean, I'll just blurt out whatever truth I see fit for the occasion.
All they know is, their once good friend went APOSTATE 4 years ago.
Only one in this town's history that I am aware of.Got to live up to my reputation, I guess, because there's no recovery from that 'sin'.

Have I gone crazy?

Thanks for the replies.
I don't expect Kieth will ever forget that moment.
We worked together as builders, I know all of his family, he's going to dwell.Check this out:
When he was DFd, I came across him leaving a grocery store. I didn't hesitate and shook his hand immediately. He was appalled, looked down and walked away as if I led him into sin. Poor man. Both his adult sons are 'out', as well.
---
As a side point, I drove past a fully manned ( sistered? ) lit cart today, four of them.
I went by real slow, got eye contact with all of them and showed a very emphatic 'thumbs down'.
All those council points for gestures finally paid off!! -

I was walking out of the store and I passed a former JW associate of 20+ years. "Keith"
He was an elder, got DF'd, lost his wife, got reinstated and last I heard started pioneering!
So I see him as I'm walking to my parking spot.I stop, look him straight in the face and yell from 20 feet away,
"You're in a CULT. You're in a cult, dude!"I turned and walked away and did not look back ( to avoid turning into salt )
Felt great, actually.
I plan on refining my message.
I'm thinking walk right up and say.
"Research your religion. You're in a cult that protects pedophiles.
Stop wasting your life!"That might shock a former friend of 20-25 years that hasn't seen you for four years, right?
From a stranger, they'd just laugh you off.
I'm talking about people we used to travel with. Dinner with families, etc.
The people that just shun without a goodbye. -

Do they even realise how disgustingly immoral this is and how badly it reflects on the God they worship?
by doubtfull1799 infound this little gem when going through the daily texts.... so let me get this straight.... god knows your suffering really badly and wants to help.
he knows you feel like you're at your limit, but he also knows that you are not really - that you can handle some more suffering.
so instead of helping, he "patiently" waits till you are at your absolute limit, and only then does he help!?.

Even if they were right, it's a cult of cruelty, hatred and judgement.
They have policies that allow pedophiles to run wild.I can't worship a god like that.

Is All The Bad Publicity About The Watchtower Pedophile Lawsuits Causing Contributions To Nose Dive Worldwide?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini think with all the child molestation lawsuits the watchtower corporation is and has been hit with is the main reason for all the prime property sell off recently.
the silent lambs protest back in 2001, and the dateline prime time expose probably was the death knell for the watchtower's hey day in brooklyn.. their membership is drying up, young people are leaving in droves, the situation is no doubt far worse than the annually published yearbook figures show and so they ceased it's publication permanently.
and those left remaining are experiencing a huge grab of money from their congregations accounts and now are required to make pledges about how much they can contribute which i think is a last ditch effort by the governing body to squeeze more money out of the rank and file watchtower indoctrinated drones.. i think all this is happening because even those still loyally attending are hearing reports of these tremendous pay out that the watchtower is making to the victims of their self serving policies that put young ones at great risks so that even the rank and file don't want to contribute to pay court costs and so are withholding giving contributions to a very great extent.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most JWs have now looked at some sort of 'apostate' web site by now. Age 30 and under, nearly 100%.
With everything that is going on with the switch to an internet religion that keeps saying 'don't look'. People are going to do what they are told not to. How can there not be a mass awakening?
Question is, how many KHs will they sell off before the big jump ship? 25%, 50%.
What will wake everyone up at once? Who knows, maybe everyone still-in will be happy to meet in small informal groups with no further 'direction' from WT?Does anyone remember discussing scenarios where we'd be going over old WT study articles at home? Sadly, there are die-hards that will never believe WT has collapsed, no matter what they see for themselves.
Maybe there already has been a mass awakening, but most are too scared to say anything, let alone take action. It must have taken me 10 years to finally act on my first doubts. The pain that will be felt when this finally ends is going to be felt deep and wide.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if WT ultimately had to pay money to EVERYONE they DF'd that is still living in class action lawsuits all over the world for religious abuses.
Wouldn't that be a burn on all the smug shunners?

Evidently, the secret chamber represents the overlapping generation in stone.

California Tubbs Fire photos you might not find find anywhere else...
by La Capra into quote someone near and dear: they should have built the whole kingdom hall out of the same thing they built the signs.... i had to wait nearly two weeks to get into the neighborhood to get these pictures for your voyeuristic interests...this is peanuts compared to the over 5,000 homes that were destroyed (this number includes individual units in large apartment complexes that were completely razed).
those pictures and videos are available in the media.
wine country is a community devastated..
