  both sides presented their arguments and now the judges will write an opinion (30 to 90 days).

  In the preparation video at 3:54 mins the brother says that they were looking for a nice place to have their entertainment evening and never dreamed of being able to book the Buckhead theatre.

  But....miraculously...

  Jehovah was the one who handed them the theatre to use, lol. What a load of crap.

  Just noticed he also says that Jehovahs music will be performed and that it will be an opportunity to hear Jehovahs music as it would have been performed in King Davids day.

  Hmm Johnny B Goode ? Is that Jehovahs music ? He he.

  the bottom line there is zero tolerance for any homosexual activity in jehovah’s holy organization.

  so all known gays had been kicked out and disfellowshipped before i got to bethel and gays got kicked and disfellowshipped and disgraced when i was there.

  Also if I remember correctly when Barbara Anderson approached the Governing Body about the problem with child abuse, Ted Jaracz was one of the main ones who didn't want to do anything about it..... Interesting.

  And when you watch the channel 4 documentary when Jaracz was approached by the reporter and asked about child abuse the way he answered her was very weird, and haughty, which is to be expected from the G.Body

  But it does make me wonder if he was involved with something, maybe one day we will find out.

  When Irwin Zalkin has his hearing in September lets hope its gets somewhere and some of these records get released.

  Rookie exJW Question

  i was wondering if someone could help me with a question.. i am a rookie exjw, i only left the organization 4 months ago and everything i've discovered (un/arc/malawi/mexico etc) i've only discovered in the last few months so you can image it's been a huge shock to me especially after after 50 yrs!.

  every time i think i've heard everything, something else pops up.. now i've come across a youtube video that mention tv evangelizer jimmy swaggart and the watchtower.

  i remember jimmy swaggart from the time i lived in the u.s.a and i remember the scandals with him and prostitutes etc.

  I am from the U.K too (but in Canada now) I remember when the donation arrangement came into effect my father who was the congregation secretary at the time announced from the platform

  "how wonderful the org is because by not asking for money we are separating ourselves from the commercialisation of Babylon The Great.

  The Society knows we are so so close to the end.

  We want to be fully out of Babylon The Great, fulfilling the scripture "Get out of her my people etc."

  Apparently he thought that the last tie to Christendom was asking for money and that by changing to a donation arrangement we would be totally clean. (we know otherwise now)

  We all thought it was great, less pressure when out on the ministry by not having to ask for money which I hated and it seemed that we were the true religion, lol.

  Its amazing like you I cant share this with family they have already kind of cut me off as i was sending them info on the ARC.

  Its so fascinating how every week I seem to find out something new about the religion I was born in and was in for 38 years.

  Crazy, and disgusting.

  i'm just curious with all the happy clapping that is now going on with the singing at the conventions.

  what has been the reaction to it with the r&f.

  has anyone ever commented that it reminded them of a pentecostal revival meeting.

  I do note that the latest WT has an article on singing which is pretty much the same content as every other time that they have trotted it out.

  Paragraph 17 states:

  17 To help everyone to sing from the heart, some lyrics have been revised to improve clarity of thought and to remove words that are no longer in common use. For example, the word “shall” is not widely used today, so it has been replaced. Similarly, the title “Long-Suffering” has been changed to “Exercise Patience,” and the lyrics have been adjusted accordingly.

  The change of the title “Guard Your Heart” to “We Guard Our Hearts” was most considerate. Why? In the audience at our meetings, assemblies, and conventions are many new ones, interested ones, young ones, and sisters who by singing the words would be put in the awkward position of telling others what to do. So the title and the lyrics were modified.

  What the hell does this mean ?

  Does it mean what I think it does? Thats ridiculous.

  I try not to listen to the new kingdom songs so never heard the original version of this kingdom song number 57.

  I thought that the clapping was just bros and sis starting it and then everyone following....

  until I listened to it on this link here.

  This is apparently the official song as played at the conventions etc.

  The claps are already in the song, this is intentional, like Dubstepped says removing the need of songbooks and then adding the clapping, its inevitable that its gonna happen.

  I think we will see a lot more of these happy clappy tunes in the future.

  This was not the religion I was brought up in, my dad is probably turning over in his grave.

  Unbelievable what was condemned is now acceptable or encouraged !!

  okay so jared kushner will probably be thoroughly investigated maybe he already has been.. they will look at all of his business dealings, who he was worked with over the last few years.. who sold him all of their properties - we know the answer to that.

  wt.. will the u.s government also investigate watchtower as well - we shall see.

  you never know what will happen.. i can see a private investigation who knows what they will uncover.. just a thought.. wgo..

  It's curious that the Russian JW's are suddenly under ban just after Kushner purchased their properties and is now accused of having illegal dealings with the Russian Government.

  I had the same thought as you Pete - but didn't want to appear a conspiracy nut, he he.
