How dishonest was the Apostle Paul?
by opusdei1972 inmay be some of you will be shocked by this question.
however, when i was studying the bible with critical eyes i detected that paul ( or saul of tarsus) misquoted the hebrew bible in order to get false support for his arguments.
of course, this tricky kind of use of the "scriptures" was not only used by him, but others, like the author of the gospel of matthew got unsupported doctrines misquoting verses.

Who oversees the money for the WT?
by John Aquila inwhen the wt sells property for a billion dollars profit, who decides what that money is going to be used for?.
when all the money comes in from all the kingdom halls bank accounts worldwide, did all that money go into one big account and who has authority to spend it and cut some checks to whoever?
when all the monthly donations come in to the watchtower headquarters, who decides distribution, and to who?

I wonder how long it will be before the GB create their own bank and have all faithful jw's transfer all their accounts to it for future plundering? -

Jw's featured in the mags who later left?

JWs With A Financial Interest In The Org
by JW_Rogue inthrough personal experiences which i'd rather not relate because it would give away my identity i have come to a realization.
many brothers own businesses that a greatly supported by witness activities.
when local congregations need some service they will prefer to do business with a jw.

Yes I know of jw's who have building firms and printing firms who get a large bulk of their work from the WT.
I also know on a smaller scale that there is an expectation in the Cong that if you are a small company you should be giving goods/ services either at a big discount or for free!

Why did Jesus have to die?
by Crazyguy inlet's think about this for a bit.
adam was tempted and sinned by eating of the fruit.
he missed out on immortality by being denied the tree of life.

I never really understood that Ransome thing, but also bringing Jesus back to live doesn't that cancel out his previous sacrifice?? -

My introduction and confession
by elderINewton inwell another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.
i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.
i'm sorry i sat in on a jc, and voted to df.

Thanks average Joe and flamegrilled , interestingly enough when the WT conductor asked the kids in the Cong for their comments on the picture not one of them had anything to say? Normally they all have prepared answers, I wondered if I was seeing a bit of CD in action? -

I wonder how many jw kids will be picking up on this today? As remember mufasa was the good guy and scar (the one throwing mufasa down) was the bad guy? Yet in the illustration we have Jesus being scar and mufasa being the devil? Confusing much?

Is it just me but when Serena won Venus didn't even crack a smile! She looked like she was sucking a lemon instead!
BTW all the JW's I know are busy now saying " what a wonderful witness for Jehovah she gave!"
