How would the Borg view IVF?
by purrpurr inspecifically if an unwed woman decided she wanted a kid without the hassle of dating/relationship /trying to get pregnant etc and just got a sperm doner with ivf?
surely it's not fornication?
the whole process is far removed from sex.

How could it be? The whole process is far removed from sex. And the person would have documents to prove where the baby came from too in case of a jc.

The bread pan illustration is totally flawed
by purrpurr init just suddenly occured to me today.... you know the jws always say about adams sin being passed on to his descendants that its like you have a bread pan with a dent in it and that every loaf of bread will then have a dent?
well that's fine for bread, cos your using the same pan.
but that's not how genetics work?.

The illustration would work if Adam kept on fathering kids but he didn't. If a family has a disease that is passed along, with more and more genes and DNA eventually the disease will be bred out.
The illustration might also work if you said that you made a mould of each loaf of bread, then made that mould into a new bread tin, and then kept on doing that. .. although wouldn't that eventually result in the dent disappearing?
Anyway didn't Jesus also say not to punish children for the sins of their parents? Pretty insane since that's exactly what his dad did!

Being taught to explain rape when a kid
by purrpurr indoes anyone else recall in the 80s/90s that when the minor/child blood issue was discussed the jw children were taught to say that being forced to have blood would be like rape?
and then had to be able to explain what rape is?
apparently there was a court case were the drs were trying to get a court order to force a blood transfusion on a jw child, and the child said it would be like rape to her and the judge asked her to explain what rape is to see if she understood what she was saying.. that went round my cong at least as a "fine witness " and all the parents were encouraged to have their kids practice the whole "explain rape" thing.. anyone else remember this?.

Not saying I don't believe this, I do certainly but I don't understand how this happens through the jw org in India? How do they child traffic through the congs?

JW's walking at the street

the impression was so arrogant.
so superior.

JW stopped me in the street.....
by Phizzy inhe pulled up in his car beside me and asked for directions, then he recognized me, we used to be in the same congo.. the usual pleasantries, i gave him directions, and then "when are you going to come back then" he asks.. "never" i say, "well, it has all changed" he says, " it's not like it used to be" i detect a tone of regret.. "but you know there is nowhere else to go" he boldly proclaims.. "yes there is !
" say i, "there is somewhere where you can find truth, and truth is supported by facts and evidence ".
he had to drive off then as he was blocking a narrow street, i did not get time to say " go to jw facts.com", i will tell him next time..

I did notice there was a big point made about parents not letting their kids get baptized as a protection! Ha! The parents are getting wise! The gb have shot themselves in the foot by asking parents to shun their kids!
