This just happened within last 15 mins......
by Lied2NoMore ini saw an instagram post showing a short clip of a talk being given in one of our southern states.
the talk clip showed speaker making the statement, "jehovah doesn't want anyone to know satans real name, jehovah hates satan so much, he doesn't even want his name mentioned" .
i posted in comments: matt 5:44-48 with the full scripture rendered from niv.

What would have Jesus done ?
by coalize in"everytime you want to do something think at what jesus would have done at your place".
every one already heard that once, i'm sure.. what's funny and i always dreamt to do, but never had the courage, it's to take the box where you put contributions and throw it at the ground to break it.
elders : "what are you doing?".

I wonder what the elders would do if someone turned up to the meeting in full Jesus costume: robes, handles, beard and long hair??? -

Ran into some JW's.......but this time I did the teaching ;) x
by snare&racket inso i went out today with my broken leg and got accosted by an old lady, with some magazines.. it was my first ever encounter with a jw in ten years, and i had said 'i know you are jw's, i'm not interested thank you.
" twice.....then she started talking about my broken leg and how wonderful we are made and how amazing the healing process is.... and that's when it all started...."i used to be a bethelite pioneer, now i'm an atheist doctor...".
she was with me a good 30 mins, her elder husband left very annoyed but she stayed, and she was dying to hear everything i spurted out, despite aggressively defending every point, from military engines to paedophilia.

Why would Jehovah and Jesus talk to Satan?
by hardtobeme inif satan is the greatest apostate there is, why he was allowed to be in heaven?
job chapters 1 and 2 says that jehovah talked to him.
wasn't jehovah supposed to shun his son and set an example to all parents?.

How are the JW's reacting to the new USA gay marriage laws?
by purrpurr inpersonally i think this is wonderful.
i have nothing against gay people and wish them only the best.. but of course i'm in a minority of one, the jw's around me are posting away on fb the most homophobic vitriol imaginable.
a lot of them are even saying that it's the start to armageddon!!.

Are there anymore recordings by others? I find it really enlightening to see the elders with their "nice face" off and see how they really behave behind the scenes.
Thanks

JW's copied Mormons?
by purrpurr ini've been doing a lot of research about mind control, cults etc which led me to look into the world and beliefs of mormons.
the similarities between jw's and mormons are staggering!
it's almost a carbon copy which only a few differences.. did the jw's set out to copy them i wonder?

Slow motion pioneers
by 1Averagejoe inobserving our local unemployed pioneers and how long they take to get to their first or next call, usually taking the longest route to get to one they know won't be there anyway.
along the way it's gossipy this and that.
pioneers?

It mostly seems like a social club these days. More time is spent chatting, getting coffee and takeaways than actually knocking on doors.
I know of several who have admitted to me that they inflate their hours "I'm sure I must have in the past forgotten to count my time when informal witnessing so I add it on when I'm short that month" yeah right (!)
I also know of one brother who regular pioneered for years and never got his hours in! But strangely enough the elders never did anything about it.

Do they not realise how this appears to other people? Do they not realise they are breaking the law and could get into serious trouble?
What reaction are you seeing?
