Excellent Conversation At Literature Trolley
by cofty inyesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.
on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.
there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.

Ideas for letter to Dr about blood card blackmail and what it means?
by purrpurr infollowing on from another op who brought to our attention the new draconian blood card policy .i'm planning on visiting my dr to discuss this issue in advance.
i'm planning on telling her how jw's and possibly me will be blackmailed into signing this but really won't want the hlc involved and may want blood if needed.. i'm thinking about writing a letter that could be kept on file for future reference outling these issues, what do you think i should say in it?

Data-dog, that's exactly what I'm talking about, we need a letter like that. The medical community do talk to eachother alot, if enough awake people went to their DR's with this word would get out and would undermine what the GB is trying to do. -

Notnew, when was the last time sisters treated the brothers like worthless second class citizens because of their genitals? When was the last time sisters forced the brothers to cover their head because they didn't have the same genitals?
There is nothing the sisters in the Cong can do about this rule no matter how they hate it. And all the GB's reasoning on why men are better than women have been disproved time and again. Really it all boils down to one thing.... One floppy wrinkly thing... That apparently gives men the right to oppress women.

NEW BLOOD CARD w/ FORCED COMPLIANCE also LEGALISM
by apocalypse ini have looked around and i don't see this covered, so i am starting a thread.. 1) the new "blood card" goes beyond being just a "blood card".. 2) a new edict concerning compliance.. pay attention to the changes.. first, the new card is termed "advance decision to refuse specified medical treatment".
the big change with the card itself is that it includes an 'override' of your "power of attorney".
this is huge.

Here in the UK the medical staff should keep all matters confidential. Surely then the medical staff could be told to keep the HLC away from you and not to discuss any matters with them?
It's very tough to not give in to this, several years ago I had an operation which I was told there was no chance that I would be in need of blood at all. But still the HLC elders in my Cong were desperate to flex their power muscles. They wanted to march down to the hospital and get right involved with the drs, they would have been there watching and interfering every step of the way if I had let them. So I said that thanks but no thanks I wouldn't need them. You wouldn't believe the pressure I came under to give in. When they finally realised that they weren't getting anywhere with me they started ratting me out to my family and putting pressure on them to get me to change my mind. I wouldn't give in and the operation was a success with no blood needed. But the HLC elders after that always had a scowl ready for me and barely spoke to me afterwards. I had denied them their fun.
I think I will make an appointment with my Dr and discuss this matter with them. If there's enough evidence on file that the patient has effectively been blackmailed into signing this form then surely that should override it?

Lame and werid sample presentations at the meeting
by purrpurr inthey used to let bro's and sis's do the sample presentation and give them the leeway to put it in their own words thereby making it more natural.
not so anymore!
these days the sample presentations are beamed from mother website.. they seem to have been written by someone who has no experience of how people talk in real life.

Ttdtt yes they are looking to create zombies, but these zombies will sound mad. It's quite obvious to me that the GB have no outside input on how to public speak or how to pitch ideas or how to make sales. They think they know best and that's that.
Personally if I was still going out on the service i would be cringing at the idea of using these insane presentations!

Something I always hated even when I was a believer was that my mind, my intelligence was considered nul next to the authority of a penis in a cheap suit. The idea that a dumb window cleaner with barely no education was better than me was awful!
I wonder if the GB would ever dare to make the sisters wear head scarfs all the time when in the hall and ministry?
