what specifically made you stop believing in god and the bible?

was it a steady road of doubts or it was reading one book or one major event that made you realize the bible was not what it's claimed to be?.

Bible contradicts itself, science proves the earth has been here longer than the bible does. God isn't a person I'd like to serve. He likes to slaughter entire cities of people who don't acknowledge his existence. Witlesses don't really serve him out of love but out of fear. God is a fabrication to instill fear and maintain order.Jesus is a fabrication of what the ideal human being should be. That is my philosophy.

Damn Wing Commander your story hit me hard.

That elder was definitely appointed by the "holy spirit", just like all the elders, even the one who molested my best friend's sister. With the exception of my dad and one other elder, they're all a bunch of pricks. They wash floors for a living but once they put on that suit and pick up a giant brief case they let it get to their heads. Gods holy spirit doesn't exist in this cult. Pfft if god even exists at all.

First Week Of College Was AWESOME!!!!

i made so many new friends on campus this week!

got my study schedule layed out, and i joined a band!

(i play guitar) it feels so good to be at a place where people aren't judgemental and fake.

I made so many new friends on campus this week! Got my study schedule layed out, and I joined a band! (I play guitar) It feels so good to be at a place where people aren't judgemental and fake. I want to live on campus so bad, but I only live a 5 minute walk away. I finally now have an excuse to miss meetings now :D

And I can't wait to dig deep into other programming languages. So far I mastered java along with html,css, and javascript. I am so close to escaping this cult! Just four more years!!!!

BTW can you guys pm the drafts of your DA letters, I'd like to have a format as well.

Ripple Effect

on tuesday i was dragged out on service with my mom since shes a permanent pioneer, and once we arrived at the hall i realized there were no brothers, but an abundance of sisters.

i conducted the service meeting with ease, since my dad gave me a formation on how to do it.. then on thursday at my meeting nearly half of the congregation surrounded me and gave me hugs and kisses.

i know about love bombing, its happened to me before, but this was the most insane amount of it ever since i had a demonstration at the district convention.

Now... this makes me think.

When I make my decision to defect once I finish college, how fast will the word spread, what will be said about me? How will I be treated by those under control of the GB.

I have an okay idea. I've seen it happen to people who were DF'ed D'Ad. But I don't know what its like to be in their shoes. But I know some of you guys do. I want to know what to expect when I make my decision and how to play my cards.

Your experiences would be greatly aprreciated.

Yes he is a god of intense love! His love is so intense he is going to kill me at armageddon because I forgot to prepare my Watchtower last Sunday!

The truth of the matter is, these people don't love you.Where-as most of the witnesses you knew did, and some still love you.

Yes they do love me more than the people on this forum! As long as I make nice comments, show up for service, carry out my microphone duties, and participate in the ministry school they will always love me. I could be a racist, child molesting, murdering, wife beating, bullying, criminal! But as long as I carry out my duties they'll always love me, and I'll love them to, as long as they LISTEN and OBEY! If I LISTEN and OBEY despite doing terrible things to other people God's active force will run rampant through god's spirit directed organization! Despite people like me doing terrible things to other people whether they're in the organization or not!
