Shogun by James Clavell. Actually his whole Asian Series is worth reading, especially Shogun, Ti-Pan, and Noble House.

Preparing the sheep for Dateline
by expatbrit inhere's a quote from purlanguage.net regarding a recent special assembly day:.
our speaker from bethel told us that something big is coming from the apostates in the next few weeks, something is afoot.
also to prepare for outright persecution in the united states, as well as elsewhere.

Hey, did someone already say when this thing is going to air on dateline? If so I missed it. Can someone tell me please? I want to do my part as an apostate and help the ratings.

Fighting in Afghanistan/Warthog
by Adam inwith all i've been reading in the newspaper, i have yet to hear one mention of the a-10 warthog.
this plane is extremely manuverable, highly survivable with tripple redundant systems all thru the plane, and packs a major punch with its nose cannon which the plane was built around.
it would seem perfect for the small arms fighting going on right now.

I wanna see some pics of a Warthog splattering AlQeda punks all over the mountain side, that plane is cool.

Divine?
by Adam inyou know, i'm no bible scholar.
but from the stories i've heard apostle john was apparently thrown into a cauldron of boiling oil, stranded at sea for two weeks after his ship went down, stoned by followers of artemis, and was suffering several years of isolated banisment on patmos when he wrote revelation.
having taken into consideration his traumatic past, in view of his state of mind while writing the book, and (probably most damming) having read what is actually written in revelation, has anyone concidered the possibility that this book was the work of someone not quite in his right mind and not a book of divine prophesy?

Think so, you pillow-biting butt pirate? Well I'm here to tell you that it's not the case, you bastard son of a transvestite whore. Your mindless, witless drab attempt at a put down shows you to be the infant, in more ways than one. But don't worry, one day your little wee wee might grow some, you'll get hair in funny places and start thinking about men in funny ways.

Fred, I can pick my nose with any of my fingers that I want to, even with all of them at once if I want. And no, you can not toss my salad, I don't care how much money you offer me.

From the number of interpretations that have been spawned, obviously it is not written clearly. From the visions spoken of, obviously the author was not seeing something that was actually there. How humorous to consider the possibility that people have devoted their lives, organizations have been founded, and leaders of nations have made decisions based, all on the writings of a raving lunatic.

Apostate Literature
by YoYoMama inis it possible after researching the net on jw beliefs, background and reading apostate information that a jw would still research the bible and find watchtower teachings as truth?
-
Adam
The answer is the same as the answer to this question:
Is it possible after researching the net on Biblical contradictions and inaccuracies, the Bible's background and reading skeptic and/or objective information that a Christian would still research the Bible and find it 100% divine?
