Please help....in a dilemma..

please help with this: when i was in college, there was a lot of talk about university and how all who pursue that are wasting their time and all that.

even before going to uni, there was a lot of pressurr on me concerning my decision.

during that time, two elders sat with me for appointment as ms and asked me if i have freedom of speech in the org since i'm going to uni and i said no.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, this is a conscienceless org to the very core. They tell you God gave us the gift of freewill but in reality you are told what to do and given no other choices. I'm only in my early 20s. I want to serve God in christian freedom not bound in endless organizational procedures to slave for the WT. I have no desire in proving my righteousness in front of people through the "priviledge- branded" position of MS and elder and the likes..

I wish I could fade away but the cost will be too great. I love my family and friends so much to see them detest me for fading. Maybe when I'm independent I may do that but that's in the future.

..and my parents aren't stupid. I understand why you say that. They are just under an illusion which they might never recover from.

PS:/ my whole family is JW. Just think about it. All these people watching me. Ugh such an illusion they're under

During that time, two elders sat with me for appointment as MS and asked me if I have freedom of speech in the org since I'm going to uni and I said no. They asked if I will stop school and be appointed or continue and not be appointed . I said no , I don't want to be appointed.

Now, after I have completed I am being followed and being told to "always do more" to get qualified for MS.

I have already made up my mind that I don't want any appointment.

Now the pressure is on: from my family, elders, the last "full potential" study article ; to be a MS because "its a good work" ( I don't want to get involved with positions in the WT)... I feel so repressed.

What should I do?

Today, an elder asked me if I had studied this WT and I said no and he started having pep talks about how there's a need for young men to serve and I told as I have told before that I don't want any "position" in this org and that's MY personal decision. He then said that means i am opposing Jah. I was like whaaat. I still told him no doesn't seem like opposition to me...he sounded offended.

Why do they like making everyone who doesn't have a "privilege" guilty? Makes me sick. Nothings good enough. You must grow endlessly to your full potential...as if spirituality is a competition

so then if it can be proven, the "governing body" term and arrangement is a farce, a fake, a made-up nonscriptural arrangement itself, (made up and concocted by nathan knorr & frederick franz in 1944) then how can this fake arrangement now suddenly become the "faithful & discreet slave" that jesus spoke of?

I tried explaining the flawed logic behind this governing body arrangement to my JW cousin and sister and I was amazed at the level of mind control they are in. Every reasoning they gave was because of the watchtower and they didn't even know it. They just couldn't see that the circumsion issue led to an ad hoc committee being formed to address that particular issue. Just simple contextual logic, they couldn't fathom. That tells you the sheer amount of control Watchtower has over innocent peoples minds

in my area the general sense is bleak.

many are in survival mode.

even at the convention the appearance of the majority was unhappy and tired.

I'm still in. In my Cong, its all made up of hypocrites and attention-seeking people who come to put on a show in the Cong. I do have nice friends there and yes because I'm a born-in I go to meetings like it's a ritual just like any other christian. It's no different from when I was born except that I'm "awake" to reality.

Welcoming International Delegates for London 2014 IC

i had the pleasure of joining jw's on the weekend to greet the international delegates who are attending the london 2014 international convention at twickenham.. nothing interesting, just waiting for someone with a badge to come through the doors and all will cheer!

the interesting part is how they are behaving:.

1- the overseer: looked really bored, trying to impress surroundings by talking loud and how he can talk to immigration and check on passengers.

My JW friend turned down the "privilege" of working the literature table at the park. Why?

i have written before about my jw friend that plays hookie with me on sundays.

we skip the meeting and go straight to lunch and margaritas.

she converted later in life and has been a jw for over 25 years.. she is in her late 70's and has had heart problems.

I like this old lady!. The metropolitan witnessing thing is pointless to me. All the pioneers do is all day and some even sleep . and at the end they get to write many hours and books just to show they are doing the "greatest work" ever. Smh. Didn't Jesus say not to show your righteousness on front of people?

Give me a reason not to go back

been out now for 10 yrs but life is a mess.

starting to think its because i have no spiritual compass.

why shouldn't i consider going back?.

I'm thinking you think your life is a mess because your whole life and contacts revolved around the watchtower and because of that strong connection it seems to you you are really missing something. But the thing is, many JWs have messy lives. A messy life is independent of religious organization. But, if you really think you want to go back its your choice. But for me, learning about the real truth has given a sense of inner peace through Jesus. I hope you find that, any choice you make. In the end it's your personal conscience that should guide you whether to go back or not, weighing all the costs and benefits to YOU.
