Aw, those were the days Simon.....I am a true believer of kids getting a good spanking on thier butt like I did as a kid....Never hurt me, and I believe I turned out all right....( not to the point of a beating by any means)
I have 2 boys, that were raised the same way and one lives for the outdoors, while the other opts for the t.v and video games...(well actually, he would rather cuddle with his girlfriend if giving the chance)So to point out your condom thing Simon, I do like the way that they are taught this now adays,( condoms) And my husband and I do also talk to him about safe sex all the time with him...Not that we would approve of it happening at such a young age, but I guess better to be safe then sorry....I know when I was growing up in the late 60s and 70s it was not really talked about ( sex) SO yes, our times have changed and I do wish that sometimes we could turn back the clock, but in this matter of our kids being safe, I am glad that it is not back in the days when the school nurse came in and just talk about our vagina's and penises on a over head, and just pointed out what their proper names were

Please wish me luck...
by safe4kids ini've got the first part of my state certification this morning...a three hour exam covering the last month and a half of training on state law, the judicial system, case practice, interventions, indicators of maltreatment and abuse et cetera and i've got anxiety out the wazoo (btw, does anyone know what a wazoo is??).
i have to pass this in order to keep my job and i've heard that it's pretty difficult, so i'm stressing just a wee bit.
i'm thinking the gallon of coffee i've already had this morning may not have been such a good idea??

ok, How do you think you would handle the media attention???
About 3-4 years ago, my little town had the second biggest prize winner of the super7 lottery...They had won 27.5 million dollars, and I cannot even begin to tell you the horror stories that poor family went through....He lived right next door to us, and the traffic that was down our road was out of this world....( we lived out on a farm on a dirt road, and you would have sworn it was the city)....I dont care what anyone says though, That much money is bound to change anyone....Believe you me, when you win this much money, all your skeletons come out of the closet....Anything is said when the media decides that you are not donating your money to the charity of THEIR choice....ashame it really is, to have that much money, and you cannot enjoy it......
Anyways, most of us dream of winning the big jackpot, figureing it would bring alot of problems to a screaching end, but there are always things that money will not buy....such as your happiness, your life, or the life of a loved one........just something to think about....

Well, I did not win the big one, but I did get 4 numbers...what that pays, I'm not sure yet....
btw Amazing, we do not have to pay taxes here on our winnings....Its ALL ours when we win
What a dream it would be to not ever have to worry about money again......Oh well, just to think about the big win is stressful enough....Don't know how I would really handle having that much money...They do say, money does not buy happiness, but I could find a way to be happy with that much coin.....I certainly know that all my family and close friends would all be comfy, and never have to worry about funds again..

New to the site, but got me on a train of thought....
by dustin_adam ini got ahold of the latest watchtower cd-rom (2001) from my grandmother, who is still an active jw.
i've added below a few direct qoutes from various publications... in one instance below the watchtower says that the bginning of christ's thousand-year reign will begin in 1975 with noted exception in error of "weeks or months, not years" then in 1975 they say that "it does us no good to speculate" on the date his reign will start!
