Would you share a winning lottery ticket???..help please
by morty inok, so here is the situation...... yesterday, i had bought a scratch ticket and i won 20.00 bucks on it...i was heading back to the store to cash it in but, not all of it...i wanted $17.00 in cash and in addition i wanted another ticket..as i was heading out the door, my brother asked to come with me to grab a few things at the store as well...this was not a problem....he got into the van and we headed off to the store...once we arrived to the store, i was still smoking my cigarette so i asked my brother to cash in my ticket for me and grab me another ticket and my $17.00 bucks while i wait in the car.
he said "sure, no problem"...at the same time, he asked me for a loan of $10.00 bucks.
i gave him the money with no questions asked.

Thank you for all of your input on my situation...It has really bothered me a lot today....
My brother is apparently coming over tomorrow in the afternoon with my mom so we are going to have a chat....
According to my mom, he is still bothered by the fact that I did not give him half of the money....
I explained the situation in full to her and she is in agreement with me as well and was going to talk to him before he got here...( Fer christ sakes, it not like we are 10 years old and we need our mommy still).....( He is the baby of the family and does nothing wrong in my mom?s eyes)
I do have an idea though why he figures he should have gotten half of the money
....Last week when I won my tickets to my concert, my other brother(older) was given a ticket ( 4 in total...one ticket for each day) by me to go to the concert because he was also with me when we filled out the ballots ...My brother(older) that was with me at that time also filled a ballot out because he bought a lamp.( We got a ballot if we purchased something from the store) We both told each other that if one or the other won, we would give the other a ticket for the concert...I ended up winning the concert tickets so I offered a ticket to my brother(older) the other day...
My hunch is that he( younger brother) figures because I gave our brother a ticket to the concert for no reason other then he was with me, then he just thinks I should have shared the lottery ticket with him...( My younger brother asked for a concert ticket as well but, I told him that I did not know who I was taking yet to the concert but if I ended up having an extra one, I would take him as well...I believe he thinks that I just gave my older brother a ticket for no reason and he got shafted .....
( God, I hope this is making sense to you all with all the separate brothers...)
I could be totally wrong, but we will find out tomorrow...I will just flat out ask him if he is pissed that I gave brother number #1 a concert ticket and not him....
Sheeeese, money can do funny things to a family...it?s not like I won millions for god?s sake....
I will answer more tomorrow on your individual questions as I am tired and going off to bed shortly here and would like to address some of your points......
BTW, whom ever said that my brother was pig, he is not a pig....A spoiled brat maybe, but not a pig....I also believe you apologized for saying it, and I accept your apology..

Once I was home, I started to scratch my new ticket.
Low and behold, I won again...I was doing another "Happy dance"...This ticket was not just $20.00 bucks though, it was a an amazing $250.00 dollar winner!!!!
My brother was also doing a happy dance with me....I headed back to the store to cash in my winning ticket....When I got home, I handed my brother $50.00 bucks out of the kindness of my heart and I also felt that he did pick the winning ticket for me...After I handed it to him, he asked me where the other $75.00 bucks was?? No thanks or nothing...
I could not believe he thought I was going to split the hole thing with him...I thought that I was more then fare giving him $50.00 dollars of it...
How should I handle this??? He is now still pi$$ed at me....
Would you share the hole thing???
Am I being selfish???
Your input would be appreciated before I blow up at him.....

i find it repulsive .... it just seems to me,when i catch people picking their nose, in almost all cases,it is a man doing it..... do men, find it hard to find a kleenex???.

Do U Drive @ 55?
by prophecor inwho among us here, when on the freeway does the standard speed of 55mph.
i'd like to say that i'm a law abiding citizen, however......
it's a wonderful thing that many folks wish to follow the rules of the road but you people who don't keep it rolling with the rest of the crowd at 65-70mph are risking a catastrophe.

Btw what are the speed restrictions in Ontario Canada on the various roads - anyone know? As we'll be driving around the Great Lakes etc...
If it is not posted Crumpet, I believe it is 50 Kilometers an hour...For the most part though, the highways( such as the 400 hundred highways) are a 100 KIL, and the average road is 80 or 90 Kilometers an hour....Places such a small sub division or small town where there are homes, it is 50 or 60 KIL an hour...If your in a school zone, it is 40 KIL as hour....( and if you go over this 40 in a school zone, they cops get pretty ugly about it...You also loose BIG points from your licence...)
I guess bottom line, it just depends where about?s you are when driving....YOu will have to watch for the posted signs crumpet....
I usually drive roughly 100 KIL an hour ( depending on the road or highway I am on) for the most part, my foot is heavy to the floor and I am not driving in circles in the round abouts....
