Physical attributes in men and women
by greendawn inthey say that in women (physical) looks are the most important factor for attracting a mate whereas for men it is other things eg personality, wealth, status, as if there are a lot more aspects to male existence.
.
so how would you choose (or did) choose a mate, eg was a woman's physical side of paramount importance or did you also weigh that seriously against character personality, culture, etc.

We lost a family member today...
by morty inwhat a sad day for our family today.. also, i would like to mention that the men that killed him, did have the guts to come and tell us.
( at 6:00am this morning) a lot of people wouldn?t do that so, this is one thing i thanked him for.
he did feel awful and had more tears then i did when i picked him up and wrapped him in his bedding.. any ways............................ i called the vet to find out how much it would be for a cremation and they want $160.00 bucks!!

Ok, so, we had a late night last night....
The boys selected to make a beautiful wooden cross for Stitch and I painted a real nice stone I had picked up at the gravel pit a little while ago. It was big enough to paint his b-day date and his passing date along with a few respectable words and some kitty paws on it. It was truly a symbolic ceremony for Stitch. We had our other cat Toffie there along with our dog Harley whom he loved to play with. We placed his favorite toys with him, and his bag of cat nip with him..( He loved his nip...lol)
well my friends, thanks again for your support...again, it has meant a lot to me and I have printed off your posts for the kids and hubby...They thought you were all so kind but, could not grip the part of everyone saying sorry and not personally knowing us...lol...
My oldest one is know interested in making his way to this board, so keep an eye out for him, and be nice!!!(..lol)
With much love,
Morty

What a sad day for our family today. We have lost one of our family members. Stitch was his name. He was a lovely cat. A Himalayan Siamese. This cat had his fare share of nine lives. I just had him to the vet last year for a failed kidney, spent loads of money getting him better, and a damn car came along and killed him instantly. I suppose he did not suffer though.
Also, I would like to mention that the men that killed him, did have the guts to come and tell us.( at 6:00am this morning) A lot of people wouldn?t do that so, this is one thing I thanked him for. He did feel awful and had more tears then I did when I picked him up and wrapped him in his bedding.

I called the vet to find out how much it would be for a cremation and they want $160.00 bucks!! Needless to say, Stitch is going to be nestled in our backyard under his favorite tree .......Can you believe they have a nerve to charge that much when he is no longer alive!!! I promptly told the girl, "I don?t need x-rays for god sakes" she then told me, "because they only do cremations on Mondays, they would have a "fee" for holding him". I then said, "well, you wont have to check on him or feed him, that is ridiculous"!!!!!!!
What a crappy day!!!! I am so pissed and angry over the vet thing....You would think after spending, thousands of dollars on my animals there, they would cut me break!!
R.I.P. Stitch... we will miss you..

I am sure the story will change again before tonight....
Parents will be just freaking about their children and wondering what is going on....

Stockpiling?
by girasole inmy mother said that the society sent a letter out to all congregations recently saying that they should keep a few days of food and supplies stored up in the case of a disaster.
anyone else heard this?
apparently it has stirred a lot of discussion about the fast approaching end of the system.

NOpe, sorry, never heard a thing about it but......
saying that they should keep a few days of food and supplies stored up in the case of a disaster
I thought no one would ever had to stock pile anything? It would be all ready and waiting over at the Pair-of- dice?
