  Actually, according to the proven mathematical principles of Albert Einstein, nothing can exceed the speed of light. That is because the massless particles of light, or photons, manifest as perturbations – i.e., waves – propagating throughout the Higgs field (the quantum particle of which being the Higgs boson). And, as such, they must conform to that maximum speed of the relaying interaction of those Higgs field waves.

  Perhaps angels wear SCUBA equipment while they fly from the Pleiades constellation to earth. And maybe they get that equipment from Amazon dot Heaven. (Sorry, I couldn’t make it any more religiously irreverent – my brain is currently being massaged by a few bubbly pints.)

  Indeed – did God really say that . . . . that a group of seven sexually frustrated, narcissistic old men wearing suits and ties, sitting around a corporate boardroom table in Brooklyn Warwick, New York would comprise the “Governing Body” / “Faithful and Discreet Slave” (capitalization theirs) – apparently™ soon to be ‘appointed over all his [Jesus’] belongings’ just before Armageddon (Matt 24:47)?

  It seems that it’s always the friends and family relationships that end up keeping the JWs stuck in the organization. Yeah – that and, at least in the beginning, the fear.

  It kind of makes me think of a mean bully of a husband demanding and forcing his wife at gunpoint to tell him, “I love you.” (Sarcasm on now): Yeah. Real genuine, sincere, and well-grounded motives in both cases, eh? Yeah, how oh so genuine and sincere. (Not.) Yeah, the “truth”™ of the WT must really be the thing that keeps people in because they “believe” it wholeheartedly . . . . so much so that when they can manage to get a clean break from it, then they’re off like a flash – like a bird that escapes from a net!

  is it my imagination or are most witnesses weird, odd, and “different “?

  it seems every congregation has a couple of weirdo elders, pioneers and ministerial servants.

  and then you see those witnesses who attend meetings but most people seldom associate with them because... they are eccentric..

  Well, maybe it’s because they exemplify the bug-eyed stereotypical cult follower, automatically receptive to whatever conformity edicts and performance pressures coming down from “the top.”

  That’s why. You see, they’re just desperately towing the (New York) party line in pursuit of “everlasting life,” replete with panda- lion-petting and sufficient levels of happiness/joy as to evoke vomiting from one’s ears!

  The thing that really bugs me about these most recently modern times are all these stupid “new laws,” turning our North American/European countries into a totalitarian fascist police state, wherein, as an example, kids can’t even go riding their bicycles around town – or even on their own street – without their parents being subject to being arrested!

  And it’s disgustingly maddening how Big Brother Government is dictating to us every little aspect of our lives – such as where we can take photographs, and even where we can go within our own country (i.e., state laws, including “loitering in a high drug area” just for innocently driving down the road, etc.).

  Yes, life was much, much simpler and freer back in the days gone past, despite the lack of iPhone progress.

  Personally, I don’t care what JWs believe, as they long as they are not causing any tangible harm to anybody. Although, the rights of children against blatantly harmful tactics of religious outfits (such as undue influence cults, as in JWs) should also be respected. After all, children don’t yet possess the critical thinking skills necessary to objectively evaluate any tightly-enforced system of belief and living.
