i would just like to get your outlook on this matter.

Adam, I see some of that here. I see more roadside memorials than anything though.

On women I find them sexy if they are tastefully done.
I think that if they are small and not covering significant amounts of area of skin, maybe they can enhance the back of a wrist or something. But, BUT, they can also be tacky as all get out. You have a refined looking girl in an elegant looking evening gown, with giant tattoos, and she ends up looking trashy. And who would cover up cleavage with ugly tattoos? I see it too often. But I guess if it ma▼kes the girls happy and their sweethearts like it, to each her own.

Fink, Anthony isn't that young, he's pushing 50, if he isn't in his 50s already. I think he will still look good, to me anyway, no matter how old he gets. I understand what you're getting at though, some tattoos don't stand the test of time.

I have been around since 1958, so I grew up during the best music decades ever. I love music. For some reason though, Under the Bridge is my top favorite song and this video for it, the offical one, is amazingly magical to me. The song deals with addiction. I think there isn't a person alive who addiction doesn't touch in some way. Anthony is beautiful in this video, especially when he is running towards you, and Anthony is tattooed. He's special though.

I don't know, Finkel, I've seen ladies at church, older ones, with tattoos and nose piercings, etc.
I love Anthony. On him this works. On some mediocre, average looking WASP? I don't think it would work. The first pic is Anthony before tattoos and the second is the bird across his back:

This guy isn't Rob Bell. Rob is very universalist. I have to agree with the very last paragrah though, being single and being married, they both can be challenging.
I think if you want to raise a family, marriage might be important.
At 55, marriage isn't important to me anymore. I'm not completely against it for myself, I have a few standing proposals, but unless it makes sense legally to be married, or the relationship is exceptional and it makes sense legally to marry, I don't care about being married again. I enjoy not having to ask someone else if I can have guests. I enjoy not worrying about snoring or whether my reading will bother someone. If I want the TV on, for background noise, it doesn't bother anyone else because it's just me in my bedroom. And my bedroom is my sanctuary, decorated the way I want, etc. It's going to take one special man, for me to want to give this kind of freedom up.
There are times I miss having a husband... Most of the time though, I think I've become the cliche' marriage-phobe.

I try not to be judgmental about them. I've seen men and women of all walks of life with tattoos, in the past couple of decades.
They are not for me. I wouldn't say no to Anthony Kiedis, if he was single, should he ask me on a date.
When I was growing up in the 60s and 70s, tattoos were for drunken serviceman, drunken men, convicts and wild women. That has changed of course. My daughter has them. When she told me she was getting her first one, I said, "If it makes you happy, then I will learn to embrace the tattoo."
The best one that I have seen was on a hispanic man. In between his hairline and the back edge of his ear, he had a crescent, faced moon with three tiny stars. It was tastefully done and it went well with his exotic, good looks.
I guess the permanence of tattoos is off putting to me. I know so many, including my daughter, who regret at least one of the tattoos they have. I see some poorly done, faded or tasteless tattoos and I have to admit, it is off putting. On the other hand, on someone who is exotic looking like Anthony Kiedis' with the black bird across his back, it can work.

Anybody else think, when we first studied it, "How do they know this stands for that? How do they know this applies to them? I'm not so sure about this."? It seriously sounded contrived to me. It was another thing to add on my Things That Make You God Hmmmm list
