Lol. I love it.
i've always wondered that.
recently i asked that question on another thread and didn't really get ananswer.
cofty made an excellent point that we often hear what it isn't, but that really isn't useful.. so, what is it?

In my opinion, and it's just an opinion..................your comments reflect you already had your answer to your question before you started the thread. I am not the only one who has seen this on your thread either. We are all entitled to our opinions and that's mine. I do have a view of what spirit is and I will post it on another post later.

I share your opinion.

And again, you have no idea what I have or don't. Please stop making claims out of ignorance.
And again: If you have the answer to your question, then post it. Otherwise, it's looking like Village Girl may be right about your motives for starting the thread.

It should be patently clear by now that viviane is looking for tangible stuff. You know, the kind of things scientists can test and measure and stuff.
We know that a body can be revived with shots of adrenalin, electrical jolts to the heart or CPR sometimes. But there is a certain force in the cells of living organisms, that once it is gone, the body/organism cannot be revived. You can put the body on life support machines to keep its blood oxygenated and circulating. You can feed the body nutrients through IV, but if you unhook the life support machines, the body will begin to decompose immediately. What is it that keeps a body in a still living, revivable state? What is that force? What gives a body life? Why can't we use electricity or adrenalin to revive a body that has lost this force? We know the force exists and that when it's gone, that's it: death, dead, or as Johnny 5 said, "Disassembled!" <....movie reference. The force in intangible, but we know it exists. Doctors, scientists, us--we all know it exists. What is it though? The only measure or test we have for it is a living, breathing organism and its death. As my mother died, the nurses already had her blood pressure cuff in place so they could determine that she had no blood pressure or heart beat. There are brain wave tests that can be done to see if there is activity left in the brain. The tests, when negative, concur that the death has happened. There isn't really an instrument to gauge the force that kept the body alive and revivable. Call that force what you will. The force makes animation and life possible and when it is gone, the lack of it makes death complete and irreversible. You can't pour it in a cup and measure the force. You can't see it in blood work. You can't catch it in a balloon. It has no color or smell. You can't catch it with your hand. Still, we know it exists.

I'm glad you liked them.
I realize you said that to be bitingly sarcastic and not be taken seriously.

On this, thread, however, we are exactly no closer than when I made the thread.
Your words, not mine.
Please stop making claims out of ignorance.
Is that what you say each time you don't get the answer you want?
If you have the answer to your question, then post it. Otherwise, it's looking like Village Girl may be right about your motives for starting the thread.
So which is it? You know the answer or you don't? Or is this just some cat and mouse game you're playing? Which are you, the cat or the mouse? Are you certain?
i've always wondered that.

Respectfully, Viviane, you are speaking for yourself and maybe some others, but not for all of us. We have the answer, had the answer, before you asked the question. You don't have the answer. You may never have the answer.

Some of us had the answer before this thread was started. For you, there isn't really an answer, at least for now.
according to the bible humans cannot be older than 6,000 years old...... yet more evidence obviously planted by satan to mislead us has been found:.

the ancient remains of a teenage girl discovered deep underground in mexico are providing additional insights on how the americas came to be populated.. divers found the juvenile's bones by chance in a vast, flooded limestone chamber on the yucatan peninsula.. aged 15 or 16 at death, the girl lived at least 12,000 years ago.. researchers have told science magazine her dna backs the idea that the first americans and modern native american indians share a common ancestry.. this theory argues that people from siberia settled on the land bridge dubbed beringia that linked asia and the americas some 20,000 years ago before sea levels rose.. sea levels 20,000 years ago were low enough to expose a land bridge across the bering seathese people then moved south to populate the american continents.. the genetics of modern native americans would certainly appear to link them into this story.
I can only speak for myself. I am 55 years old.
waisted days and waisted nites.. freddy fender..
This song describes my time as a JW. I felt it more....and more.....and more as the years went by. Look at the song lyrics, I'm sure most of you felt this way. I have to say, more than once I did nearly die....
White Bird by It's A Beautiful Day
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUNgQ03D2qA
White bird,
in a golden cage,
on a winter's day,
in the rain.
White bird,
in a golden cage,
alone.
The leaves blow,
Across the long black road.
To the darkened skies,
in its rage
But the white bird just sits in her cage,
unknown.
White bird must fly
Or she will die
White bird,
dreams of the aspen trees,
with their dying leaves,
turning gold.
But the white bird just sits in her cage,
growing old.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly or she will die.
The sunsets come, the sunsets go.
The clouds roll by,and the earth turns old.
And the young bird's eyes do always glow.
She must fly,
She must fly,
She must fly.
White bird,
In a golden cage,
On a winter's day, in the rain.
White bird,
In a golden cage alone.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly or she will die.
White bird must fly
