This is the first I have heard of this story, too.
It is pointed out that this young woman's parents sat there without tears. That says a lot about what life was like for this girl, growing up. And where did she learn to punch a child in the face?

i don't know about ya'll, but i did not appreciate the 1980s enough.
i was too busy lamenting how different they were from the 1960s and 1970s to bask in and appreciate how wonderful they were.. this is 80s music, especially new wave music, and 80s fashion and culture appreciation thread.

The original of Miss Amanda Jones was done by the Rolling Stones. The Some Kind of Wonderful sound track has both the original and the 80s cover version by The March Violets.

I really enjoyed watching Moonlighting with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd in the 80's
So did I. TV shows were something I did actually enjoy watching with my ex husband, the born in JW. We loved mysteries and trying to solve them together. We also loved REmington Steel and Quincy.
Viola, love all of those. Thank you.
I loved the Brat Pack and John Hughs movies:

fortieth is "ruby.
" since rubies aren't in the budget, we went to ruby beach for the weekend.
OK, I was thinking of posting a pic taken outside the KH on Oct. 6, 1974; but then I looked at it and decided not to. It's there on a post a year ago if you want to look.
Give us a link or PM one, please and I will.

Harry Potter!
I have thick naturally curly hair so in the 80's it was so big I looked like a Texas pagent queen! Haha! Can't post pics 'cause were still in fade mode but hoping someday.
Oh you big tease! That is funny. I had to do the perm if I wanted curls and I had more than one perm and many hours with a curling iron, something I do not do anymore! I embrace my straight, fine hair.
how many times did we hear that if we dont attend meetings we will leave the truth because satan will get ahold of us?
that always bothered me.
i thought, "if my faith isn't able to stand alone what good is it?
What bothered me is them implying Jehovah would off you if you didn't show up to clean the KH.
