That warm fuzzy feeling is just the sensation of common sense leaving one's body. Rather like falling in love!
the first ever billboard has been crowd funded on reddit and will be going up.
i'm curious to know if it will cause a spark in any jw's who already have questions or doubts and lead them to research into the child abuse cases and lead them to the thought that the wt and gb are not inspired or gods mouthpiece.
at the very least it will provide people a topic of conversation and questions to the jw's who knock on their door: "so whats this whole sex abuse in kingdom halls thing about i saw on the billboard down the road?

driving does require a high degree of control after all, don't you agree?.

"In El Salvador, one man tied his vicious dog in front of the door whenever he saw Jehovah’s Witnesses nearby. The man would wait for the Witnesses to move on, and then he would bring the dog back into the house. The brothers were never able to speak to the man. So one day they decided to try a different approach. Knowing that the man could hear what they were saying, they decided to preach to the dog. They came to the house, greeted the dog, and said how glad they were for the opportunity to speak to it. They talked about the time when there would be a paradise on earth, when no one would be angry—yes, when even the animals would be peaceable. Then they said a polite good-bye to the dog and started down the path. Much to their surprise, the man came out of his house and apologized for never having given the Witnesses the opportunity to speak to him. He accepted the magazines, and a Bible study was started. This man is now our brother—one of the “desirable things”!"

I guess that brings a whole new meaning to the term "doggeral"..
i cant recall the scripture, where it says than only a few men will he live to be 80 years or so, can anyone recall that?.
so then im wondering, if it is a fact that men lived long years 900 in some cases, for what reason would god limit our lifespan if our time is so short compared to his?.
how on earth does man go from living 8 and 9 hundred years down to 80 to 100 ?.

Psalm 90.10, KJV: The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
one of the things i have to deal with after my jw experience is depression and anxiety.
sometimes i will become overwhelmed by them.
sometimes i'll wake up around 2 or 3 am and lay in bed experiencing extreme anxiety and worry about... whatever (you name it).
It makes sense. I can become easily depressed when life is running moderately smoothly. Maybe it's because I have too much time to think. I find that if I have a mega problem my survival instincts kick in and the sheer act of fighting to overcome the problem will raise my self-esteem considerably.
As for anxiety itself, well, it helps to realise that all anxiety is hypothetical!

That seems a phenomenal number of people just to serve UK JW's. Maybe it's intended to be a bethel for the whole of Europe? I know the UK is one of the most indulgent of the European countries when it comes to personal and religious freedoms. That being said, if the UK does opt out of Europe in the 2017 referendum, it could just return to bite the JW's in their didactic backsides..
If a Furry had a hyperdomic needle stuck in the top of his head, would he be a Furry with the syringe on top?

So they still have this unhealthy obsession with what people should wear!
It's nuts. Back in the day they went bananas with the advent of the mini skirt. The young teen girls in our congregation would leave for school suitably skirted well below the knee. Once away from home, they'd roll up the waist band to display a fair amount of bare thigh so as not to be looked upon as somehow freakish.
Who could blame them?
i find it hard to believe that adults on this forum make such a big deal about not celebrating birthdays, x-mas, easter, halloween, etc, etc, etc.
i grew up as a jw kid and it actually made me feel good, being different from the other kids in school.
we went to meetings.

Yup, being brought up to become a social outcast can be very character building.
