This is after my time. I'm curious as to what takes place.

Do they officially give marking talks without telling the one marked?
by Wakanda inmy pimi (physically in, mentally in) friend believes she was marked without them telling her.
i believe her, and she has been making work for the elders.
she is a pain in their arse, and they are a pain in hers, which is great.

Perhaps they mean that there are no longer enough COs to go round since many of them are waking up to the JW racket.
So it could be that the ratio has increased. Say initially 500 - 1, if half of the CO's have gone the ratio would be 1000 - 1.

Due to the increase we have witnessed over the past few years, a number of circuits have grown.
Reminds me of a newspaper advert for recruitment: "Due to expansion we require even more salesmen.." In other words, we need to constantly replace our discontented and disillusioned workforce.

Jehovah's progressive organisation. Well I never. Someone please remind of what Scripture it is that refers to Jehovah's organisation.

Tight Pants Tony and the 1st international broadcast started a chain reaction that woke up an uber pioneer
by Bad_Wolf inhopefully more are on the same path.
here is the story..... this person i know was the model jw, and them and their spouse could have really moved up.
they knew i was gone and awhile ago started asking me questions.

OK, so tight fitting pants aren't exactly macho. And yes, they are a bit effeminate and make a fella look as though he's mincing when he walks. But I hardly see that as a plot by the gay community to seduce young JW males into a life of debauchery.

What's destroying Watchtower!
by UnshackleTheChains infor me, beyond any shadow of a doubt, it's the extreme shunning policy.. at a recent sunday meeting, i listened to a complete brainwashed sister saying how important it was that we stick to the shunning policy even if it is a close relative.. i just thought.
wtf.
there is a big difference between the brainwashed and the awoken class!.

Blood's thicker than water. I've seen relatives of DF'd one's swing first one way then the other over their DF'd children. Seen letters of withdrawal addressed to DF'd ones, only for a year later for there to be contact. Then another talk or WT resulting in another goodbye letter - only for the impetus to fade yet again as normal blood ties reassert themselves. Relatives of DF'd ones bounce in and out of their convictions. Not fun for anyone.

Whole families leaving the Org has increased
by pomo6780 ini have noticed in the uk a few families i used to know while in the borg have exited together.
some include former elders and ministerial servants.
i observed on social media pages that the kids have 'worldly' boyfriends and girlfriends and they look so much happier than they did in the org.

I have known whole families leave. But, to be fair, they were all "touchy" types, easily offended about everything and everyone. It was always because someone had "stumbled" them over some real or imagined slight. They would talk about the event for years after.

Do JW's Still Shout "Aye!" at Assemblies?
by snugglebunny ingot my curious head on again.... i recall shouting "aye!
" in 1958 and again in 1963 and 1969. in the '63 resolution the wt put the un on notice in an assembly resolution worded something like "the nations further refused the surrender of their sovereignty to god's messianic kingdom by setting up ... the united nations, ... this international organization stands for world sovereignty by political men.
for years men without faith in god's kingdom have endeavored to get all people to worship this international image of human political sovereignty as the best hope for earthly peace and security, in fact, the last hope for humanity.

Got my curious head on again.... I recall shouting "Aye!" in 1958 and again in 1963 and 1969. To date 111 nations have given worship to this political image by becoming members of it. However, we, as witnesses of the Sovereign God Jehovah, will continue refusing to engage in such idolatrous worship."
And again in 1969 another resolution was passed at International assemblies, but what it was about escapes me. Probably someone or other being yet again put on notice that they were doomed. Sorry about that. I do recall however the tingle I felt at being a part of 40,000 people all shouting "Aye!" when the speaker requested us to do so after we declared our allegience to whatever it was. The downside was that after every resolution we'd have to go from door to door distributing copies of said resolution to baffled householders. ( I learned later that the excited tingle of shouting along with thousands of fellow believers could be easily re-experienced at a lively soccer game.)
So I was just wondering if the dubbies still do the resolution thingy? Anyone done it? What was the declaration about?
