  hi guys .

  i was wondering about the above , if a jw is allowed to remarry if a spouse has died, then what happens when they are resurrected at armageddon, do u land up with two wives/husbands ,,,,,,, makes no sense to me & can the jw's be so dumb not to think about this or have i got it wrong ?

  and i will not be asking my uber jw husband , don't have the energy.. thanks.

  How did your mom get even a single proposal, let alone four? I thought JW's only ever date with the intention of marrying. And if she wasn't dating anyone, then I have another question: who the heck proposes marriage to someone they've never even been on ONE date with?

  She was a bonny woman. Been in umpteen congos, well-known need is greaters and also well known in bethel circles from when our dad was alive. A legendary pair. Plus frequent hosts of get-togethers, over a dozen converts between them. Social butterflies.

  so i don't really care about these things anymore, but i was reading this article (and it's a very good one): gamified life.. in the article it mentions (without references):.

  dice-based games of chance are thought to have originated with ancient divination practices involving thrown knucklebones.. .

  so it's okay to play yahtzee but not okay to go trick-or-treat.

  I'm pretty sure that's why my JW momma never re-married, despite having 4 proposals.. She wanted to be available for my dad after the resurrection even though conventional marriage would not be reinstated.

  Myriads and Myriads of Angels ... What Do They Do?

  i never understood this in my entire life in the borg.. who knows how many angels there are, millions, billions?.

  an angel protected rahab when the walls of jericho fell.

  then one angel killed 24,000 one night.. yet there seems to be this paranoia in the borg like the bunker video and the field video where jw's are under attack and apparently alone or at least it appears alone.. can't a few angels be put on overtime and protect the brothers from the potential "authorities" that wish to harm or eliminate them?.

  I asked my wife what she thought that angels did all day long.

  She looked at me in that pitying manner that ladies do only too well.

  I persevered and eventually she said: Oh dear. It's so obvious. Everyone has a guardian angel. That's what they do all day. They keep you safe.

  I hope she's right.

  What was the last thing you said to your jw family?

  7 years ago i had my last conversation with the toxic jw that mostly raised me.

  every conversation was toxic for my entire adult life with her.

  the last time we spoke was right before the memorial 7 years ago and she was laying on the usual heavy guilt and fear mongering about how jeho counts his people at the memorial.

  I said that if I thought they had the truth then I'd be a witness. As I didn't believe in it, any affiliation was pointless. My parents accepted it.

  However, some years later, when another JW asked the old "Will you turn back to Jehovah" line, I responded in the same vein to which she exclaimed "Blasphemy!" and stalked off.

  when g. was a litle kid, remembering the watchtower study at age 9, hearing all the stuff, the paragraph, the questions, the answers, about topics i could not understand, so it became so abstract that it was not entering my ears and brains.

  it felt that i was no part of the group, someone alone on a distant planet.. do you remember this feeling?.
