I'm blown away by your support, this is what life's all about supporting each other, not shunning or dismissing each other thank you again. So much to take in! -

She wants me to marry her so she can be seen to be doing the right thing I suppose and because she says she wanted to move our relationship on, she has been married twice before to a witness at 20 and non witness at 27, these both lasted less than 2 years. She moved out as she felt guilty living in sin and she and my children don't get on that great, they are now 14 & 10. She was born in to Jw family.
she seem to be running away from everything stuck in middle but still very defensive about Jw issues.

Great tips Youve all made me feel better about myself, thought it was me being over cautious, that's how she makes me feel. She wants me to marry her and because I'm stalling on commitment she has just told me she loves me but wants to get on with her life and find someone who she can have a baby with and get married, I asked her if she was going to go back to meetings, she said not sure. But she said there s a non- Jw at her work she likes who apparently ticks all the boxes! I feel devastated, seems all this for nothing. So have written a letter to her in last ditch attempt to talk her around and ordered a book crisis of conscience, maybe it may help the next guy 😥 -

Thanks doc that's great, she moved from the other side of England to be with me after a 2 & 1/2 year long distance relationship. she lived with me for about 18months then moved out. We have been seeing each other for around another 2years to this date. Her parents live 3 hours away and have now seen her once in last 7 months. They said they don't condone what she's doing so they now avoid contacting her. She was baptised at around 13 years old, she says she still believes in the truth and worries that if Armageddon comes she will not be saved as she not doing the right thing. The only thing she says she does not like is the shunning part. She attends the memorial once a year only at present. A while ago she was in a panic when we had thunder and lightning and said do the think the world is about to end! I said no it just releasing pressure in the sky!
Am I wasting my life on this rubbish?!

Mr flipper, I have read your description about yourself, it gives hope to anyone who wants to get out, but why do you think it took 44 years?
