i was wondering since there are a lot of uk users (at first i didn't notice that) if there is some peugeot owners here, clearly not from the us, the brand and also citroën has no presence in north america... in my city (santiago) you can see almost every car brand from chinese to european... in my apartment's parking lot there are toyotas, hondas, a porsche (that is abandoned, a carrera 911 turbo from 1989), even an old lancia, alfa romeo, nissan, renault, citroën, a camaro, suzuki, sköda, bmw, an old mecerdes, daewoos, kias, hyundais, an old vw beetle and a scirocco, few chinese, an audi, a dodge ram.
even a maserati in a house two blocks away etc etc.. and my 307 :)
Peugeot left america in 1991... There may still be some out there, if it weren't for the gray market, many car collections in the us wouldn't be there!

i'm thinking in emigrating... i feel like i'm stuck here in chile, and going likely to canada (i have my aunt and cousins there, full citizens) is like a real option by now.... i feel like i'm stuck and that in a best scenario i will be starting at the bottom of the pit, with about 75.000 (usd) in university debt (from 3 different sources) that won't go away easy, broken family, unstable relations with my mother, i think that i've almost got over the jw issue, but the consequences on my life being a born in are severe.... this saturday will be my second appointment with the therapist, i'm trying to figure out how to put things in order by now, my due date is december, to make any decisions... i finished almost to 5th year of dentistry, roughly 2 years remained but couldn't handle the family struggle, suicide attempts, getting out the wt, 4 house moves in 3 years, my father not paying a nickel for the university... i supported my mother to my own detriment, she's coming out of borderline personality disorder and i think she's a lot better but im tired... .
...as i'm "almost" a dentist i work from time to time with some patients (friends, ex-univsity patients), i've done a lot of crowns, surgeries, fillings etc to earn some money at my brother in-law clinic)... but i got kicked out of university for failing to complete some clinical requirements because of lack of patients in the previous courses, i just hadn't the force to try harder... studying was clearly not a priority by then, and as i used to be a good student just didn't know all the rules about failing courses... well that is, i just wanted to vent a little....

Well, I have a good bunch of family members up there in canada (my aunt, uncle, and cousins), the decision to go there would be primarily to earn more money that I can here and the fact of living there with some support I think can ease a little the things for me for a while, also a professor that I worked with some time ago in dental research spent some months at the University Of British columbia (were my aunt live) so it wouldn't be impossible to finish a degree there.. I will try to mend things here anyway first, and ponder things at the end of the year...
bonsai: yes, we only live once, sometimes it's to think in "doing what I want" without feeling some guilt, because for my entire past life it was "wrong to think other way than jehovah's"... but its getting easier with time :)

I have some coins inherited from my great-grandfather, he was a merchant sailor, and hace some 1700's coins from Bolivia and some other from here, Chile... Our country is so young! I can only dream of finding western objects from 1500's...
By the way I traced back to my great-great-grandfather who was british (not sure if scot or english) and landed this country in the 1800's as a railway engineer, it would be fantastic to trace back my genealogical tree there in the UK where the records can lead to very ancient dates!

of course it led nowhere and my parents came up with some strange theories like that there was "an expanse of water in the sky" and that's where all the water came from.
I remember that my first visit to this site was looking for information regarding the flood!
well here's the thing... my brother-in-law needed some marketing boost for his dental clinic (i'm a dental student by now, her sister, my girlfriend, also), so i designed some brochures and today they were ready at the print studio.. i told him... "look, i spent 20 years in that cult, they have a very boring message, and they still managed to achieve 7m or more adepts, so i will distribute this brochures in the area this way: just like in field service, drawing some territories and "preaching" block by block... just to know were and when our advertising is being delivered".
so i started preaching the "dental good news", it was so easy compared to field service!!!
everyone were very receptive in the clinic's neighbourhood (it's in a downtown area in santiago, cl).
Nevuela, maybe I didn't expressed myself clearly because I'm a spanish native speaker so my punctuation instinct seems to be more suited for spanish than english, and also my english grammar is developing right now as I'm using the language more for communicating in this forum and reading all the english content that I can hahahaha!! The thing is that I'm a dental student, and my girlfriend also is (we met at university). My girlfriend's brother is the clinic-owner, in other words "my boss", (we three are very close and do a lot of stuff together), so it's been three people all the time, my brother in-law, her sister that is my girlfriend and me.
ILoveTTATT2, it seems that authorities have been more relaxed in the flag thing over the last couple of years, specially after 2010 was our bicentennial celebrations, years before that and that one in particular everyone had out flag hanged... 1) It's supposed that the only animals that survived were on the ark...
2) WT teaches that no second creative act were performed prior to the flood...
Then you ask... Did Noah took all the sub-species found in america and endemic varieties of animals? Clearly no, since 6.000 years ago continents looked almost just the same as now, and he didn't make it for example, into america... So there's 3 possibilities regarding our current biodiversity...
1) Our current biodiversity came from evolution (clearly not, because it's not that fast and also JW doesn't believe in it)
2) The bible isn't telling the whole story and there were places in the earth not flooded (this is the simplest explanation)
3) God directly recreated all the species diversity (according to WT something like that will happen only in paradise in the -recreation- o restoring to eden-like conditions...)
So? How do you explain endemic species around the world (those only find for example here in Chile 999999999999999999 away from ancient middle east?
