Africa for the Africans, Asia for the Asians, White Countries for Everyone!
by seahorse321 inasia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.
everybody says there is this race problem.
everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to assimilate, i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

Canadian branch getting rid of their trucks and drivers
by wannaexit ina recent letter to the elders outlined the new arrangement for delivering literature to the congregations.
the canadian branch will be downsizing by eliminating drivers and trucks and utilizing commercial carriers to bring the boxes of monthly literature .
more outsourcing and more lay offs.. the funny thing about it is that they want to have the literature delivered to various private homes of the rank and file rather than have the literature delivered to the kingdom hall.

tiki: They probably get lower rates of delivered to private homes...the angle is to go the cheapest route.
Most shipping companies have lower rates for a commercial designation. Having a parcel delivered to your home generally costs more, not less.
Having the Literature delivered to a personal address rather than the Kingdom Hall will have another reason for it. I dunno...maybe the WTS plans on not being a "resident" corporation in Canada anymore. Maybe the WTS plans on eliminating the Canadian Branch Office.

done4good: Just a straw man argument used to distract and to deflect accountability away from themselves on the core issue.
Jackson slipped up in a big way by saying "we don't run a police state" and "we don't run a spy network".
The number one rule for a witness that is being examined is this: do not give more information than you are asked for. Do not supply the prosecution with the "accusation" before they do. Jackson was the one who gave this information sans prompting. Bad move on Jackson's part and a prosecutor's dream - to have the witness state the crime themselves without having to accuse them of anything.

Did Geoffrey Jackson Commit Perjury, or Just "Spiritual Warfare"?
by The Searcher inmr. jackson was pressured by angus stewart to answer if the org condoned corporal punishment, to which he openly stated that the org does not condone corporal punishment for j.w.
children.
this "fact" has never been revealed in the org's literature, in fact, this article which was published under geoffrey jackson's supervision, by definition demonstrates the org's approval of corporal punishment for j.w.

At 48:25 of Part One, Jackson made this statement "Even in ancient times God did not have in mind for children to be beaten up in a bad way."
Jackson said that children should not be "beaten in a bad way". When asked directly if the JWs practice corporal punishment he said "Hmmuh."..."No"..."not me personally".
I don't think Jackson ever did say that corporal punishment was actually prohibited - to the question "Does your church practice corporal punishment?" he finally squeezed out a "no". But, he never did say that "his church" prohibited it.
(part one at about 51:30) Right after this exchange about disipline, he is questioned about women and Jackson does a defensive move - he drops his hands down behind the table and it appears like he is covering his genitals - a classic move that happens when someone who is lying feels vulnerable.

berrygerry: In the 2014 tax filing, Canada has 50,400,000 in Land and Buildings, but Net Assets of only 33,700,000.
In reality, does this not indicate that Canada is negative cash-wise?It sounds like the WTS is reducing their assets. Maybe they don't want to appear to own more than is necessary - the Royal Commission's plan to extract money from them must have them worried.
Does anyone know who the "commercial carrier" is who will be handling the shipments of literature? Way back in the day, it was Clayton Woodworth who profited from transporting WTS literature by using Woodworth's transport company. Who is going to profit this time?

If jw's obeyed all of the bible commandments what would they be like?
by purrpurr inthe jw's cite abstaining from blood along with other cherry picked commandments.
but then ignore the others.
this is very hippocritical and if they are going to obey one commandment they should be obeying the rest.. just as a bit of fun then... what would jw's be like if they obeyed every rule in the bible?.

purrpurr: Just as a bit of fun then... What would jw's be like if they obeyed every rule in the bible?
There would have to be separate seating in the Kingdom Hall for men and women just in case one of the women was menstruating. The Bible commands men not to sit in the same chair as a menstruating woman. This would also create problems for going out in field service in the same car and, as well, the women would have to sleep on the floor once a month.
Leviticus 15:20
"Everything also on which she lies during her menstrual impurity shall be unclean, and everything on which she sits shall be unclean.…"
The women would not be able to braid their hair, they wouldn't be able to wear gold or pearls, and they would have to shop at WalMart.
1 Timothy 2:9
"Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments,"

Guardians of Doctrine.
by Pubsinger ini'm still working my way through the videos..... this has probably been covered before but had anyone else ever heard them use this phrase before?
not me... but it's a clever and as per usual misleading choice of words.. if they are indeed guardians of doctrine, they are very poor ones.
if so jws would believe the same thing now that they did in 1879 and we all know that's not true.

oppostate: Guardians Of Doctrine (G.O.D.) sounds like another effort to become more like the Catholics,
I think that Jackson may have picked up "Guardians of Doctrine" from working with the Catholic woman, Applewhite. Pope Francis has used the same phrase.
From an article dated Feb. 2014:
http://ncronline.org/news/vatican/bishops-need-not-be-crusaders-pastors-francis-says
Pope Francis on Thursday re-emphasized his vision of who should be chosen as Catholic bishops around the world, telling the Vatican office responsible for their selection he wants prelates who are "genuine pastors" and who will "argue with God on behalf of [their] people."
In a nearly 3,000-word text to the Vatican's Congregation for Bishops, Francis tells the office they should not look for bishops based on any "preferences, likes, or trends" and likewise should not seek prelates who are mainly concerned with doctrinal matters.
The church, writes Francis, needs "guardians of doctrine not so as to measure how far the world is from doctrinal truth but to appeal to the world to charm it with the beauty of love [and] to seduce it with the freedom bestowed by the Gospel." *
"The church does not need apologists of its causes nor crusaders of its battles, but sowers humble and confident of the truth, who ... trust of its power," the pontiff continues. Two popes/peas in a pod.
Lol! I showed a non-JW friend of mine the two photos of Pope Jackson and Pope Francis. She is totally convinced that they are clones.

truthseeker: With their hatred of higher education and secular achievement. If you threatened to bribe most witnesses what's the most you could expect to get out of them?
"Most" witnesses wouldn't be the target. "Most" witnesses don't have membership into the exclusive club called the "Watchtower Society". And, many of the "Society" men are educated. Not all of them dropped out of school at 15 like Jackson did.
What could be influenced, though, is doctrine. And, that doctrine just might make some important Society men, and friends of Society men, a lot of money. Jus' saying...

Something that's bugging me. Why didn't the ARC ask Jackson..
by defender of truth in..about child molesters being reappointed to positions of trust?
also, whether they would consider using 'worldly' expertise when assessing potential risk?.
why was spinks questioned as to whether the organisation should use professionals to assess whether a pedophile is fit to rejoin the jw community (or whether they are still a danger), let alone be reappointed.. and yet jackson, one of the policy makers in the org, was not even spoken to about pedophiles being judged as 'repentant' and even safe to be reappointed, by incompetent elders??.

I think the reason was exactly like you stated - Spinks had already been questioned about it. And, the Commission has the documents to show the WTS' stand on the matter. Questioning Jackson about it would have been redundant.
It appeared like the Counsel had a game plan and that time constraints did not allow for all lines of questioning to be persued and it didn't help that Jackson launched into a sermon whenever he was given half a chance. Jackson's bibble pontificating consumed lots of clock time.
I would suspect that if Jackson was questioned about some of the policies that the counsel didn't bring up, that he would have just replied "that's not my area" and then he would have found somewhere in his bibble to qualify how helpers are the ones who do all that while the GB is busy preying and making "scriptural" decisions.
Jackson could have been days on the stand if all lines of questioning were pursued.
