Marlboro, I just sent you another message. Let's see if it goes through.
I haven't had any issues with using pms with other members in the past couple days.
i've been trying to check my messages as i've been told i was sent a pm, but for some reason i can't.
the envelope reads "0", and when i click on it i get a black page that reads at the top left, "server error" and i have to back out.
this has been going on since monday, and i've tried to check my messages from the computer in a regular window (i use chrome), incognito window, and on my phone.

i've read here that inactives are the same as disfellowshipped, treatment wise.
is that correct or did i misread it??
thanks......
flipper: PHIZZY hit on a really good point. " The fact that the GB/Leaders of JW org. would love to see " inactives " totally shunned , as we are the group most likely to plant seeds of discontent and doubt. "
Not only that, but the WTS wants to be in the position to say in court "oh...but that person isn't really a JW" even if the one on trial hasn't been disfellowshipped or disassociated.

bohm: Orphan: That can't be right. Surely something must be going on to explain that effect.
I dunno...I am just reporting what was said on this reddit thread.
judge sanctions jehovah's witnesses.
imposes $4000-a-day penalty for not producing documents in sex-abuse case.
by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.
DD: I'm currently placing tally marks for each day the WTBTS continues to hide its Pedo letter from the Courts.
I wonder how long it will take for her to become curious?
Change your tally marks to $$$$
Money makes people curious

The reddit forum has a post about this too.
From that forum:
It appears as though the bulk of hits to jworg originate in Africa
more changes in us and canada operations.. new "arrangements" in jw.org to get more benefits and less costs.
logistics in canada and the united states will be managed by a new arrangement.. confidential: a famous supermarket and logistics company will take care of sending literature, keep an eye not getting your wt supplies together with a butter cream pot.. read well: wal **** logistics .... more layoffs.... headquarters in canada of this famous company only at 37 km away from watchtower canada..
So...what happens when the GT comes and the supermarket goes down in flames?
How do the JWs get their stuff delivered to their bunkers?
Oh yeah...thank goodness "we are no part of this world"...

Wayward: The JWs should pay attention to what's been happening to its old archenemy and learn from it.
They tried.
At the Australian Royal Commission, they paid Monica Applewhite, the Catholic 'expert', to defend their policy of protecting child abusers.
She got to read the secret elders manual that women aren't even supposed to touch.

at this rate, soon they'll let infants get dipped:.
lindsey jackson, 14, of king george county was among the 33 people who were baptized saturday during the first convention of jehovah’s witnesses of the summer at the richmond coliseum.
To be fair, the news report didn't say the accidental porn was on a computer.
For people who only know the digital world - ya need to know that porn exists in analog form too. Maybe the accidental viewing of porn happened when the kid found his dad's stash of Penthouse out in the garage.
Or, maybe he clicked on his mom's icon in Netflix and hit the currently viewing of "Orange is the New Black". Go mama go!
before jesus was born or even if he had never existed—another human being was already proclaimed son of god and, indeed, god incarnate within the same first common-era century and within the same mediterranean world.
in fact, almost all the sacred terms and solemn titles that we might think of as christian creations or even pauline inventions were already associated with caesar augustus, the first undisputed ruler of the roman empire, from 31 bce to 14 ce.. augustus was divine, son of god, god, and god from god.
he was lord, liberator, redeemer, and savior of the world—not just of italy or the mediterranean, mind you, but of the entire inhabited earth.
Thanks for all the information on this thread. It's great.
Once a person starts exposing the political climate of the time around when Jesus was supposed to have been alive, it is easy to see that the New Testament was simply a justification for monarchy. The New Testament was, and is, used as a political tool.
The Christian Church, combined with the myth of Jesus - a king to rule the earth forever - was a political movement. And it still is.
Christians, even though they may not realize it, promote monarchy as the preferred mode of rule.

marlborobarbie: And btw, whyyyy would anyone let a youngin talk about this kind of stuff in front of other youngins? There were hundreds of kids there too little to understand what it is...oooh boy.
Exactly. Lol! It reminds of something that happened when I was young and exploring different religions. I attended a born-again church for a few months and one Sunday they had a visiting pastor. He unexpectedly gave the sermon on the topic of the dangers of masturbation.
The church members were horrified. Horrified! Lol! They talked about it for days afterwards - every time I ran into someone on the street or wherever, that had heard the sermon, they expressed their dissatisfaction. They called it the Big M word. The regular pastor apologized the next Sunday.
I thought it was funny - it was nothing out of the ordinary as far as I was concerned - the JWs talk about masturbation and sex all the time from the platform. But not the born agains!
I think it is hilarious that the masturbation bit is the part that was selected to insert into a news article about the convention.
But, how horribly embarrassing for the teen. And the young people attending. A totally inappropriate subject to assign to a young person to talk about in front of hundreds of people - and then have it reported on in the newspaper.
